💙 What an incredible night for Otago Water Polo! 💙

Thanks to the amazing support from our community, sponsors, donors, and everyone who attended our Emerson’s Fundraiser evening, we are thrilled to share that we raised an incredible $4,900 for the club 🙌

This is the ONLY major fundraiser each year that directly supports the running of the club, helping cover essential costs including pool hire, equipment, coaching development, and club operations throughout the season.

A huge thank you to Village Green for hosting us, to everyone who donated raffle prizes and hampers, and to every person who purchased event tickets, bought raffle tickets, or supported the event in any way. A special shout out the Menzies family for all their work in making this event a huge success!.

Your support genuinely makes a difference for our players and wider Otago Water Polo community 💙

💙 WHAT A NIGHT! 💙
A huge shoutout to our Otago U21 Women's team for an incredible Relay Swim Fundraiser at Moana Pool last night!
For one hour, the team took turns sprinting 50m lengths non-stop, showing the determination, teamwork, and commitment they are bringing to their preparation for the U21 National Tournament in Auckland this July.
The event was a fantastic success and wouldn't have been possible without the amazing support of our Otago Water Polo community. Thank you to the parents, families, friends, supporters, and fellow club players who came along after their training to create such an awesome atmosphere.
The Otago Water Polo Committee is incredibly proud of this group of young women. Not only are they working hard in the pool as they prepare for Nationals, but they have also shown outstanding initiative, leadership, and commitment in organising and delivering such a successful fundraiser.
Fundraising plays a vital role in helping our athletes attend tournaments and perform at their best. Every dollar raised helps reduce the financial burden on players and families, allowing the team to focus on their preparation and represent Otago with pride.
Well done to Amelia, Rosie and the entire U21 Women's team for organising such a successful event. We can't wait to see what you achieve in Auckland! 💪💙

We are the Otago U21 Women's Water Polo Team — a group of 14 young women from Dunedin who have been working hard to earn our place at the Auckland U21 National Tournament, 7–11 July. We are passionate about making our mark for Otago women's water polo on a national stage and are aiming to raise $2,500 to ensure every player can be there. Every dollar goes directly towards travel and accommodation and is greatly appreciated.

To raise these funds, we are holding a one-hour relay swim on 10 June from 7.30-8.30pm at Moana Pool (TONIGHT), where our whole team will take turns sprinting 50m lengths non-stop for the full hour. We are asking friends, family and our water polo community to sponsor us per 100m completed — we expect to swim around 40 x 100m (4km) as a team, so even a small pledge makes a real difference.

To sponsor us, simply send a message to Amelia Edgecombe with your dollar amount per 100m. After the event Amelia will send through the final total with payment details (payment will be made directly to Otago Waterpolo who will apply the money raised against our tournament costs) .
- 50 cents per 100m
- $1 per 100m
- $2 per 100m

Thank you so much for your support — it means a lot to the whole team.
