Are we a little excited to win? - You betcha!

We are incredibly proud to share that Greenways Trust has been named Employer of the Year at the Northland Business Excellence Awards.

This recognition reflects the dedication, passion, and commitment of our amazing team, who work every day to support people to live meaningful and fulfilling lives within their communities.

We are also honoured to have been named Runner-Up in the Health & Safety category, recognising the innovative work our team has done to make health and safety education more accessible and engaging for the people we support.

Unfortunately, our amazing General Manager, Roxanne Kelly, was unable to attend the awards evening due to other commitments. However, she was kept in the loop throughout the night, with regular updates and photos shared with her as the celebrations unfolded.

A huge thank you to our staff, the people we support, their whānau, and our wider community. Your trust, encouragement, and support make achievements like these possible.

We are grateful for this recognition and remain committed to creating opportunities, promoting inclusion, and continuing to make a positive difference in the lives of the people we support.

When like-minded organisations get together, good things happen! 💚♻️

Yesterday we loved welcoming Roxanne, General Manager of Greenways Trust in Dargaville, and Chris to Recycle South.

Greenways Trust and Recycle South have plenty in common - creating meaningful employment, building confidence and connection, and putting people at the heart of what we do. 💞

There was plenty of sharing ideas, a tour of our place and, naturally, a proper Southland welcome with the famous Southland cheese roll! 🧀😋

Different ends of the country, but very much on the same page when it comes to people, purpose and opportunity. 💚♻️

You've cleaned us out!

Our firewood pile has disappeared faster than a marshmallow in a campfire.

Thank you for your support. More wood will be available early next year

The Whangārei Special Olympics T1 Basketball Team had an awesome day on the court recently. Lloyd, Andrew, Nathanael, Steven, Dominic, David and Ricky showed incredible determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
After losing their first two matches, the team dug deep and finished the day with a fantastic win. Even more impressively, due to some last-minute team withdrawals, they were moved into a higher division than originally planned and still managed to finish 3rd in Division 3.
A huge well done to all the players and proving that hard work and teamwork really do pay off.
