***Update***
Dom's bike has been returned thanks to the police and the town security cameras
We would like to thank everyone for all the love and support, Dom has read your messages and it truly means a lot
Tuesday at around 5pm, Dominic’s bike was stolen from outside the Library, we are asking our community to please keep an eye out in the hope it finds its way home.
For most people, a stolen bike is frustrating, but for Dominic, it’s so much more than that. His bike is his only mode of transport. He doesn’t drive, and he works a full week, relying on that bike every single day to get to and from work, appointments, and around the community.
Many people will know Dominic through the Western Sharks Rugby Club, where he has spent the past few years volunteering his time as the ultimate team player and water boy. Whether it’s helping the Sharks, supporting Kaihu’s B team, or standing on the sidelines rain or shine, Dominic is always there giving his time, energy, and support to others without asking for anything in return.
To have something so important taken from him has been absolutely heartbreaking.
We know times are tough, but we are asking whoever has taken the bike to please do the right thing and return it.
If anyone has seen the bike or knows anything, please get in touch. Below is a picture of Dom on his bike
