The NZ Middlemore Sangam family gathered on Saturday, 23rd May 2026, at the Little Feet Childcare Centre in Mangere for our 2026 Fiji Tour Thanksgiving Night.
The evening was organised to acknowledge and appreciate the tremendous efforts and commitment of our Premier and Masters players, team officials, sponsors, supporters, and family members who played an integral role in ensuring that NZ Middlemore Sangam successfully fielded two teams at the Centennial Celebrations of Sangam in Fiji during the Easter holidays.
The occasion was made even more special as we celebrated our inaugural Super Premier Division Championship victory in style. Close to 250 members, including players, officials, family members, supporters, and well-wishers, came together to commemorate this historic milestone achievement for our organisation.
We were honoured by the presence of our valued sponsors, Fiji Football Association President Mr. Rajesh Patel, NZFFI President Mr. Sachin Dutt and his executive team, along with representatives from TISI (NZ) Sangam and New Zealand Sangam Inc. Their presence added immense value to the evening and reflected the strong relationships and community spirit that continue to drive our organisation forward.
As an organisation, we would like to sincerely thank everyone who has stood beside us throughout this journey. Community organisations can only thrive through the support of dedicated individuals, families, volunteers, and business partners. We are truly fortunate to have such a strong network of people who continue to believe in and support NZ Middlemore Sangam. We look forward to your continued support as we strive for even greater achievements in the future.
A special acknowledgement goes to Simply Divine for providing outstanding catering services and expertly managing the bar throughout the evening. Their team went above and beyond to ensure that all our guests were exceptionally well looked after. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Anu Krishna for her tremendous efforts in providing cocktail services and helping create a memorable experience for everyone in attendance.
Our sincere gratitude goes to Rohit Chand and the family at Cupcake Connections for once again generously providing the beautiful event cake. We would also like to acknowledge Swarti Naicker and family for putting their love, care, and creativity into baking and presenting the spectacular soccer ball-shaped cake that was enjoyed by all.
Thank you to Rulz Smart Deals for sourcing our souvenir t-shirts and Champions scarves, helping us create lasting memories of this historic occasion. We also extend our appreciation to Captured Stories for their professional photography services, ensuring the special moments of the evening were preserved for years to come.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Johnny Nadan and family for providing the traditional Shennai music that brought the true Sangam atmosphere to the event. Their contribution added a special cultural touch to the evening, creating a sense of pride, nostalgia, and celebration that was appreciated by all in attendance.
We would also like to acknowledge RJ Swaati and Master Sunil for expertly hosting the evening as MC and for providing the sound system and entertainment. Their efforts played a significant role in creating a vibrant, enjoyable, and memorable atmosphere throughout the celebration.
Together, we celebrated not just a championship victory, but the strength, unity, and spirit of the NZ Middlemore Sangam family. This historic achievement belongs to every player, official, sponsor, volunteer, family member, and supporter who contributed to the journey.
