WEEKLY SITE UPDATE!
The topsoil has been stripped and carted off to Road Metals, with the trucks returning loaded up with AP40. Over the next couple of weeks, we'll be working to excavate down to the subgrade, ready to backfill with AP40 and prep the foundation for our brand-new turf surface located at Dunstan High School.
This project is running on community power, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who is donating their time, gear, and hard work to make it happen.
We even have volunteers who are feeding the volunteers—dropping off smoko each morning to feed the team who are hard at work! A big thank you to everyone who has put their hand up to help with this. (We still have a couple of spots to fill on the roster, so if you're looking for a way to help out, this could be it!) 🧁☕
A HUGE thank you this week goes to:
⭐️ Richie Stephens and Noel McCrostie, who have both donated a truck, a digger AND their time
⭐️ John MacKay (Onsite Project manager & part-time driver!)
⭐️ Saul Bedford at Otago Projects (Overall Project Manager) who is overseeing the whole operation and keeping everything running smoothly
⭐️ Drivers Phil Crawford, Keith Maxwell, Grant Bailey, Neville Grubb, and Gary Craig
⭐️ Machinery and other services supplied by Skevingtons, Greg McDonnell Contracting Ltd, Benchmark, Central Machine Hire and Pirate!
Teamwork makes the dream work—it takes a community to build something special, and we couldn't be prouder of the team effort behind this project. Keep an eye out for more updates as the ground prep continues! ⚙️
