I en tid der demokrati, menneskerettigheter og rettsstat er under press, er det viktigere enn noen gang å holde fast ved menneskerettighetene som et grunnleggende premiss for norsk utviklingssamarbeid. Rettigheter er ikke bare et mål i seg selv, men en forutsetning for bærekraftig utvikling, demokrati og sterke sivilsamfunn.
Nettopp derfor må menneskerettighetsperspektivet stå sentralt også i arbeidet med Prosjekt Vendepunkt.

As our interns complete their time with us, we would like to take a moment to express our sincere appreciation for their incredible contributions to the NHRF🌼

Gumi has contributed with remarkable skill across several areas of our work, quickly grasping complex issues and thematics. She has contributed to our MELD team through survey design, reporting and imagining new ways to share knowledge and learning between partners alongside GDPR work and research for program work.

Fernanda has been a wonderful addition to the Breathing Space City programme and our Communications work, bringing creativity and care into everything she does, while thoughtfully following up with our guests and helping ensure their experience is both restful and inspiring.

Thank you both for the dedication, insight, and positive spirit you’ve shared with us. Your impact here will stay with us, and we’ll carry your contributions forward. We wish you every success in what comes next 🌟🌍

Norsk senter for menneskerettigheter - Norwegian Centre for Human Rights

Since 2019, we have collaborated with our grantee partner Contec - Consultoría Técnica Comunitaria AC, a civil society organisation that promotes community-based rural economies and strengthens governance in Indigenous communities and forest ejidos in Chihuahua, Mexico.

Protecting indigenous communities and the natural areas they call home is in humanity’s common interest. 🌎
