Young Africa

Young Africa empowers youth with skills training entrepreneurship and employability across Africa.

Young Africa (YA) is a confederation of local NGOs, implementing youth empowerment programmes in 9 skills centres in Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia and Botswana. The founding foundation of YA, Young Africa International, is located in The Netherlands. YA has educated over 40,000 young people towards employability and entrepreneurship. YA sets up financial self-sustainable skills centres in

which local entrepreneurs train youths in professional skills. Entrepreneurship training, life skills & digital literacy are fully integrated into the curriculum. Within three months after graduation, 83% of the graduates is economically active.

Young people across the world grow up in vastly different circumstances, but their hopes are remarkably similar: to learn, build a meaningful career, support their families, and shape a better future.
This year's International Youth Day reminds us that while opportunities are not equally distributed, potential is if the right tools are provided.
Today, we celebrate the resilience, talent, and ambition of young people everywhere, and reaffirm our belief that every young person deserves the chance to turn their aspirations into reality.
