✨ Orange Theatre Company presents at KIT Live: The Laramie Project

In 1998, Matthew Shepard, a 21-year-old gay student, was brutally attacked in Laramie, Wyoming. What followed became one of the most powerful stories of our time — about hate, humanity, and the healing force of compassion.
Based on real interviews and testimonies, The Laramie Project is a moving piece of documentary theatre that still resonates today.

Proud to have partnered with Cinetree.nl last Monday night to launch the Tomorrow Film Festival! Huge thanks to Hanna Verboom and her epic team for a fabulous evening of film, music and drama to highlight and bring hope to our crisis.

Together with the brilliant Jacob Derwig, talented Merlijn Angad Gaur, philosopher Karim Benammar, Hivos and Lenteland we at KIT Royal Tropical Institute feasted on a taste of all the great films that will be shown as part of the Tomorrow Film Festival, followed by our usual celebration of hospitality in the Marble Hall. Always a wonderful place to host an event!

In future these sorts of première will be held in our theatre 'KIT Live' which will be renovated and brought back to life in 2024. Follow the KIT Live page here on Facebook and watch the video below for a tour of KIT, including a sneak preview of our theatre!
