A mat to sleep on. A blanket to stay warm. A pot to cook a meal. A jerry can to store clean water. These small things restore normalcy and dignity. Together, we are rebuilding a sense of home for families who need it most.

We are pleased to announce the commencement of Non-Food Items (NFI) distribution across seven LGAs in Adamawa State, under a project funded by the Nigerian Humanitarian Fund (NHF)

In this first phase, we reached 41 vulnerable households across 3 communities in Yola South (27 kits) and Yola North (14 kits). This is part of our ongoing commitment to distribute 254 NFI kits across 7 LGAs, providing essential items that restore safety, dignity, and preparedness for displaced and vulnerable families.

Distribution in the remaining LGAs will continue as scheduled. We remain committed to ensuring no vulnerable household is left behind and reaching the unreached without barrier.

Why do we need to support new mothers?

Because in places like Sokoto, Borno and Adamawa, too many mothers still give birth without enough support after.At HARAF, we work with health facilities to change that through antenatal care, postnatal care, and kind, dignified support for new mothers when they need it most.

Because when a mother is supported, she survives. When she survives, her baby thrives. When they both thrive, the community thrives.Supporting new mothers is not optional. It is essential.

At HARAF, we believe every mother deserves a good start, and every newborn deserves a safe start.

It's not always easy. Many pregnant women and new mothers we meet are doing their best with very little support. So we try to show up with health education, antenatal support, safe delivery information, and care for mothers after birth.

It's small work, step by step. Listening to mothers, linking them to care, sharing what we know, and following up to make sure both mother and baby are doing well. A good start changes everything.

Moments like this reminds us why supporting new mothers matters so much. It's not just about delivery, it's about listening, reassuring, and being there after the baby arrives too.

ADAMAWA PEACE ACCORD SUMMIT - Our Commitment to Peace
Political differences are inevitable; violence is not.

At the Adamawa State Peace Accord Summit, political actors committed to peaceful, issue-based campaigns and non-violence ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial elections.

The summit was convened by the National Peace Committee, Adamawa State Peace Commission, The Kukah Centre, ABAK Peace Foundation, and NANGO, brought together gubernatorial candidates, religious leaders, and other key stakeholders.

As a humanitarian organization and proud member of the Network of Adamawa State NGOs (NANGO), HARAF remains a key actor for peace, committed to promoting unity, protecting communities, and supporting peaceful, credible elections.
