Jen Initiative for Integrity and Development (JIID) proudly conducted a Menstrual Hygiene Sensitization Campaign!

On June 25, 2025, our dedicated team visited Government Girls Senior Secondary School Unguwan Faransa Gombi and Government Day Senior Secondary School Muchalla Gombi LGA to promote awareness, understanding, and positive attitudes towards menstrual health and hygiene among young girls.

This campaign was part of our ongoing effort to provide vital information about menstrual health management. We emphasized the importance of maintaining proper hygiene during menstruation, using sanitary products correctly, and seeking medical advice when needed. Additionally, we discussed the significance of mental well-being and self-esteem for girls during their menstrual period.

The activity included interactive sessions, and practical demonstrations on how to use sanitary pads and maintain hygiene. We also encouraged open conversations to foster a supportive environment where girls feel comfortable discussing their health issues without shame or fear.

Our goal is to empower girls to manage their menstruation confidently, stay healthy, and continue their education without interruption. We believe that educating young girls about menstrual hygiene is vital for their overall health, dignity, and future empowerment.

A heartfelt thank you to all students, teachers, and community members who participated actively and supported this initiative. Together, we can create a future where every girl feels confident, informed, and valued!

Let’s keep working towards a healthier, more informed, and stigma-free community!
