She Was So Happy When We Told Her, “You Don’t Have to Pay a Dime.”

Mrs. Linus was overwhelmed with joy when we told her she could bring her child to our free daycare without paying a dime for the care.

For her, it meant more than just free childcare.

It meant knowing that while she goes out to work and struggle to provide for her family, her child is safe, protected, and cared for.

No more worrying about her child sitting under the scorching sun, getting drenched by the rain, or being exposed to the dangers that come with staying on the streets while she hawks.

She can now go about her business with peace of mind, knowing that her child is in a safe environment.

This is why we do what we do at Anchor to Help Organisation.

We believe no mother should have to choose between putting food on the table and keeping her child safe.

Every child deserves a safe place to stay.
Every mother deserves the opportunity to work with dignity.

And we are committed to making that possible, one mother and one child at a time.

This is Mrs.Amaka Chijioke (Mama Ejima), a mother of twin babies.

Every day, she goes out under the scorching sun and heavy rain, hawking sachet water (pure water) just to put food on the table and provide for her children.

But imagine having to do all of this while carrying and caring for twin babies.

When we saw her, we knew we had to do something.

At Anchor to Help Foundation, we invited her to bring her babies to our free daycare and creche, where they can stay safely while she goes about her business.

Now, she doesn't have to carry her babies around under the hot sun or in the rain while trying to make a living.

She drops them at our daycare, goes out to work without being limited, and when she is done for the day, she comes back to take her babies home.

Sometimes, helping a mother doesn't mean giving her money.

Sometimes, it means giving her the freedom to work, the peace of mind to focus, and a safe place for her children.

This is why we do what we do.

We see a woman hawking.
We see a mother fighting to survive.
And we choose to stand with her. ❤️

Day 2 and 3 of the Anchor to Help Foundation Women Empowerment Programme were focused on practical skill acquisition and entrepreneurship training.

The women were empowered with hands-on skills such as shawarma making, peanut processing, cosmetology, and fascinator making.

Skills designed to help them create sustainable sources of income and become financially independent.

Beyond learning new skills, the programme inspired hope, confidence, and the belief that every woman has the potential to succeed regardless of her present circumstances.

Anchor to Help Foundation has continued to demonstrate its commitment to empowering women through its recently concluded 3-Day Women Empowerment Programme.

Over one hundred (100) indigent women were empowered through this impactful initiative.

The programme was designed to equip women with practical skills, business knowledge, entrepreneurship training, and life-changing insights that will help them make informed decisions, attain financial independence, and improve their overall well-being.

Speaking during the programme, Mrs. Chioma Agomoh, the Executive Director of Uk-Oma DesignsUK-Oma Designs, whom the Foundation collaborated with to make the programme a reality, trained the participants on business development and entrepreneurship. She also educated them on the importance of business registration and proper business structure. In addition, she encouraged the women not to allow their present condition define their future.

The Foundation noted that when women are empowered with the right knowledge and opportunities, they are better positioned to positively impact their families, communities, and future generations.

Throughout the three days, participants engaged in impactful sessions focused on business development, personal development, entrepreneurship, skills acquisition, and capacity building. The programme also created an avenue for mentorship, networking, and encouragement among women from different backgrounds.

The women who participated expressed gratitude to Anchor to Help Foundation,Uk-OmaDesigns for the opportunity, describing the programme as enlightening, inspiring, and transformative.

Anchor to Help Foundation remains committed to supporting women and creating initiatives that promote growth, empowerment, and sustainable community development.
