Imagine Nigeria without Yoruba land. Just take a second to picture it.
No Lagos. No busy center for African business. No city that never sleeps where people turn hard work and energy into success.
If you take Yoruba culture away from Nigeria, you are not just removing a place. You are taking away the rhythm, the color and the soul of the country.
From London to Houston and Brazil to Cuba, the world does not just know Nigeria. They know Yoruba.
Imagine music around the world without Afrobeats. No Wizkid, no Davido, no Burna Boy, no Asake and no Tiwa. The world would be completely silent on the dance floor.
This is the same land that gave us Prof Wole Soyinka, Chief Obafemi Awolowo and many other great leaders who built the intellectual foundation of the country.
There is a special beauty in being Yoruba. It is in the blood. It is the Omoluabi way of life. This means good character, deep respect, bowing and prostrating. It teaches us to be humble before we are proud.
To Yoruba land. Thank you for the flavor. Thank you for the extra style. Thank you for teaching us how to work hard, dress like royalty and respect our elders while winning across the world
Ile Yoruba ko ni baje o! Ire O!
