Are you a passionate youth leader (ages 18–35) ready to drive transparency and inclusive governance in your LGA?
Mentor-Box Foundation is recruiting 21 Youth Leaders (one from each LGA in Kogi State) for the Kogi Gender and Disability Responsive Governance Project (K-GDRGP), supported by the Nigeria Youth Futures Fund (NYFF).

What You’ll Do:
Train: Master Gender & Disability Responsive Budgeting (GDRB).
Audit: Use budget scorecards to inspect local infrastructure (schools, health centers).
Advocate: Present findings at Town Hall sessions to local government leaders.
Benefits: GDRB certification, audit stipends/logistical support, and a powerful leadership network.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: KOGI YOUTH ACCOUNTABILITY CLUSTER

Mentor-Box Foundation, with support from the Nigeria Youth Futures Fund (NYFF), invites applications for the Kogi Youth Accountability Cluster under The Kogi Gender and Disability Responsive Governance Project (K-GDRGP).

We are selecting 21 Youth Leaders—one from each Local Government Area (LGA) in Kogi State—to serve as community auditors and advocates for inclusive governance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Attend a Capacity Building Workshop on Gender & Disability Responsive Budgeting (GDRB).
- Deploy inclusive budget scorecards and conduct monthly field audits on local infrastructure (schools, primary health centers).
- Verify local spending aligns with the needs of women, youth, and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
- Present audit findings at LGA Town Hall Advocacy Sessions.

Eligibility Criteria:
* Resident of one of Kogi State's 21 LGAs.
* Aged 18–35 with a passion for civic engagement, social oversight, and inclusion.
* Strong communication skills and readiness for field inspections.
* Women and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) are strongly encouraged to apply.
Benefits:
* Specialized training and certification.
* Field allowances and logistics support (stipends and materials).
* Access to a permanent civic leadership network.

For Oriasotie Emmanuel Ehimare, founder of Ledga (an innovative Fintech startup), participating in the 5th Cohort of the iHATCH Startup Incubation Program has redefined his product development strategy.

Through hands-on sessions, Emmanuel gained three pivotal breakthroughs for his venture:

A Structured Validation Pipeline: Moving beyond assumptions to build solutions strictly aligned with real market demand.

For Suleiman Muniru, founder of Global Shining Digital Works and creator of Inaya LSA (an innovative EdTech solution), one key insight from the ongoing iHATCH startup incubation sessions completely transformed his approach to client conversations.

“I used to struggle with how to respond when potential clients said, ‘I love your app, but your price is too high.’ During our training, the facilitator shared a simple but game-changing shift: don’t argue, and don’t get defensive. Just ask: ‘Too high compared to what?’”
