A Message of Grace: Celebrating 79 Years of the Anglican Youth Fellowship (AYF) Nigeria

​Beloved brothers and Sisters of the Anglican Communion, ​It is with a heart full of gratitude to Almighty God and a profound sense of leadership that I address you today.
We stand on the threshold of a momentous milestone: the 79th Anniversary of the Anglican Youth Fellowship (AYF) Nigeria. ​Nearly eight decades ago, a seed of faith was planted. Today, that seed has grown into a mighty oak, providing shade, strength, and spiritual nourishment to millions of young Nigerians across our great nation Nigeria.

​REFLECTING ON OUR JOURNEY
​Seventy-nine years is more than just a number; it is a testament to resilience, devotion, and the unyielding power of the Holy Spirit working through the youth.

​We celebrate our pioneers, whose vision carved a path for us in a changing world.

​We celebrate our current members, who serve as the heartbeat of the Church; vibrant, innovative, and deeply committed to the Great Commission.

​We celebrate our impact, from community outreach and leadership development to fostering a generation that seeks to "know Christ and to make Him known."

​As your President, I am constantly inspired by our energy. In a world that often feels chaotic, we remain a beacon of hope. We are not just the "leaders of tomorrow"; We are the catalysts of today.

As we celebrate this 79th year, let us remember our core mandate and vision. Let us remain rooted in the Word, steadfast in prayer, and bold in our service to humanity.
Our theme for the year "IF GOD IS FOR US", must continue to ring true in our actions, not just in the days of abundance but also in the days of trial.

LOOKING TOWARDS THE GREAT 80TH

​This anniversary serves as the perfect "prelude" to our upcoming octocentenary. As we transition into our 80th year, I urge every Diocese, Archdeaconry, and Branch to; ​Strengthen the Bond, Reach out, Leverage on technology and modern tools to spread the Gospel, and most importantly ​Lead with Integrity (Be the examples of godly character in your workplace, school, and home).

​May the Lord, who began this good work 79 years ago, continue to sustain us. May He grant us the wisdom of the elders and the strength of the youth to carry the torch even further.

​Happy 79th Anniversary, AYF Nigeria!
