Project BLACK, Aiesec in IFE Project BLACK is a project being run by AIESEC in Ife. BLACK is an acronym meaning Building Leadership and Cultural Knowledge.

It is an initiative that aims at exposing youths in both secondary and tertiary institutions to the knowledge of their local culture, values and customs and its relationship with personal development as-well-as nation building. It also teaches youths how to become leaders who will become change agents in the future.

AIESEC is the international platform for young people to explore and develop their leadership potential in order to have a positive impact in society. It is present in over 1700 universities and schools of higher learning across 110 countries. Such events are geared towards addressing social issues in Osun State and by extension, our dear country Nigeria. This project is in three phases with the first phase focusing on foreign and local language education for both undergraduates and illiterate indigenes of Ile-Ife Osun State, a bi-monthly publication that focuses on African culture, world culture and also youths around the world making a difference; The second phase focuses on tourism, exposing the youth to our diverse culture, history and beauty through visits to historical sites in Nigeria and also cultural events and workshops focused on cultural education in orphanages in Osun State; the third phase is a cultural event to round-off the project, this cultural day would involve a literature and art festival to showcase all aspects of culture.
