SkillUp Edda SkillUp Edda is transforming the lives of Edda youths by providing them with valuable skills, mentorship, and opportunities for self-reliance.

SkillUp Edda is a group that was built by young and well-meaning Edda youths that has the best interest of Edda at heart to help in developing the indigenes of Edda Local Government Area in Ebonyi State, Nigeria through skill acquisition/empowerment programs. We are focused on making sure that indigenes of Edda Local government are empowered with life-changing skills, as this will help us achieve the following:

1. Reduce the rate of unemployment in the whole of Edda.
2. Help with fast-tracking the rate of development in Edda.
3. Reduce the rate of crimes and social vices in Edda communities.
4. Help our youths and teenagers build capacity and gain skills to make them compete globally. Our training is centered around the UN SDGs of 1, 9, and 11 and is facilitated by young Edda indigenes across the country with expertise across Digital skills, Phone repairs, Event planning, and decoration, Catering, and other valuable skills. We are powered by My Edda, in collaboration with Edda Loaded, Face of Edda, Concerned Edda Youth Movement. We are a team of young, vibrant, and creative Edda indigenes that are focused on creating change and development in the Edda Local government.

MAKING MONEY IS IMPORTANT. MANAGING IT IS ALSO IMPORTANT.

When money comes into your hands, don't immediately spend everything.
Learn to:
✅ Save something
✅ Plan your spending
✅ Avoid unnecessary debt
✅ Invest in learning
✅ Separate needs from wants
You don't have to wait until you are earning a huge income before developing good financial habits.
Start small.

Good habits grow with practice.

Dear Edda youth,

RESPECT IS A SKILL.

At we are not just learning how to make a living, we are learning how to live well.

Respect is not just "Good morning sir/ma".
It’s how you talk when no one is watching.
It’s how you treat the cleaner, the driver, the younger one, the one who cannot pay you back.

One respectful child shows good home training.
One respectful student gains favour from teachers.
One respectful youth opens doors that intelligence alone cannot open.

Remember:
God honours those who honour others.
Your skill can take you to the top, but your character — your respect — will keep you there.

Sometimes, the best way to overcome these limitations is to start learning with what you already have.
Start small.

You don't need the most expensive camera to start learning content creation.

Start with what you have.
Learn how to tell a story.
Learn how to take better pictures.
Learn basic video editing.
Learn how to write captions.
Learn how to understand your audience.Most importantly, practice.

Don't wait for perfect equipment before you start developing your skill.
Your first content may not be perfect—but your tenth can be better, and your hundredth can be much better.

Here's a challenge for every young person reading this:
Choose ONE skill.
Spend at least 30 minutes every day for the next 7 days learning or practicing it.
It could be:

Graphic Design, Video Editing, Website Design, Content Creation, Digital Marketing ,Photography and Writing.

Don't worry about becoming an expert in seven days.
Your goal is simply to prove to yourself that you can be consistent.

Seven days of practice is better than seven days of excuses.
