Menstruation is natural, yet for millions of girls and women in Northeast Nigeria and across the world, access to safe, dignified menstrual hygiene remains out of reach.

At Haske Humanitarian Aid Initiative (HHAI), we believe that hygiene is not a privilege β€” it is a right. Through our WASH and health programming, we remain committed to breaking the silence, ending the stigma, and ensuring that every girl and woman has access to the support and resources she deserves.

A New Chapter Begins for Girls in Abuja!

We are thrilled to announce that (HHAI), with the support of , launched the Global Girls Glow Mentorship Project right here in Abuja FCT!
This is more than a project, it is a movement.

Global Glow has already ignited the power of over 100,000 girls across 30 countries, helping them increase their confidence, strengthen their voice, and build their power. (Global G.L.O.W.) And now, that transformative energy is coming to Abuja.

Through this mentorship initiative, adolescent girls will:
βœ… Build unshakeable confidence to show up boldly in their communities
βœ… Develop their voice and learn to advocate for themselves and others
βœ… Gain creative and leadership skills that will shape their futures
βœ… Become active agents of change in building a gender-equal world.

The programme is built around hands-on activities that develop Social and Emotional Learning skills, helping girls in vulnerable communities practice using their voices while building lasting relationships with peers and mentors from their own communities. (Global G.L.O.W.)

Girls will also have the opportunity to pitch and implement their own advocacy projects that address critical issues in their communities building critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills along the way. (Global G.L.O.W.)

Building community resilience and guiding communities to take ownership of their challenges and come together to collectively solve their problems without waiting for government or external donors is what we at have been doing across several hard-to-reach communities in Bauchi State.

The gathering here are community stakeholders of Dull, in Dull A ward of Tafawa Balewa LGA discussing efforts to address issues affecting the only healthcare facility in the area.

This effort adopted by to move forward with the community rather than doing things for them is already generating massive results, improving healthcare services, promoting community resilience, and combating Gender-Based Violence in our communities.

This approach takes a "one step forward at a time" strategy for youth in the community, which has led to more enrolment of young children, particularly girls, back to school as a result of advocacy and awareness creation on education.

Involving the community always reveals the actual pain points and the solutions to them by engaging them in every step of the process.

We value the relationship with the communities we serve and see them as pillars of success in all our interventions.
