🤝 Behind the Scenes: Making Healthcare Better at Yelwa PHCC 🤝

On Tuesday, April 29, 2026, we didn’t just visit Yelwa Domiciliary PHCC — we listened.

Through the GC7 N-THRIP CLM project, our supportive supervision focused on availability of malaria, tuberculosis and AIDS services, access to care and patient experience

Some gaps were identified, and simple actions were agreed with the facility team to improve service delivery.

🤝 Community-Led Monitoring helps ensure better care by listening, learning, and taking action.

Knowledge is the Best Medicine!

What does "Community-Led Monitoring" actually look like? It looks like 22 mothers at Yelwa Domiciliary PHCC taking charge of their family’s future!

On April 29th, we spent the morning breaking down barriers and building up health:

The Tools: From IEC flyers to the Community iMonitor app.

The Truth: Busting old myths about HIV transmission and sharing the life-saving reality of PMTCT.

The Protection: Ensuring every baby gets their BCG shot to fight TB.

Facilitated by Abduljalil Sabo Muhammed, this wasn't just a lecture—it was a movement. Because when women are informed, the whole community thrives.
