BREAKING NEWS FROM AKURE! 🚨🤣🍿

Dem say we gather to create awareness about albinism and promote inclusion.

Our children say, "We don hear una, but abeg, where the popcorn?" 😭🤣

See concentration! See seriousness! Nobody dey look who get albinism, who no get. Everybody just dey face their personal assignment. 😂

Especially our chairman for blue shirt. Baba dey inspect each popcorn before e enter mouth. Quality control must be maintained! 🤣🤣

And that one for yellow? No distractions, please. This is a very important meeting between him and his popcorn. 😭😂

Moral of the story: Inclusion sweet, but popcorn sweet too! 🍿🤣❤️

At the Akure Family Funfair, childhood was doing what childhood does best — enjoying the moment without unnecessary labels.

THE SKIN YOU SEE IS NOT THE WHOLE STORY

When you look at a child with albinism, what do you see?

A different skin colour? Golden hair? Light coloured eyes?

Look again.

Beyond that skin is a child with dreams, emotions, intelligence, talents and a future waiting to unfold.

Albinism is a genetic condition that affects the production of melanin, the pigment responsible for colouring our skin, hair and eyes.

It does not determine a person's worth, character or potential.

At the Akure Family Funfair, we brought children together to remind the world that our similarities as human beings are far greater than our differences.

Education begins when we learn to see the child before the condition.

We organised a Family Funfair to create awareness about albinism and promote inclusion.

Madam came with a DIFFERENT MISSION! 😭😂

First raffle draw SHE WON! 🏆

Second raffle draw NA STILL SHE!!! 😭🤣

Aunty, abeg, wetin you put inside your raffle ticket? Anointing oil or direct connection to the heavens? 😂😂

Other people dey shout "TOGETHER WE BELONG!"

Madam dey shout "TOGETHER, ALL THE GIFTS BELONG TO ME!" 😭🤣🤣

And see the smile! No apology! No remorse! Just favour, confidence and premium enjoyment! 💃🏽😂

But this is exactly the kind of joy we wanted to create at the Akure Family Funfair.

A place where families could laugh, play, celebrate and create beautiful memories together.

Because inclusion is not only about addressing discrimination. It is also about creating spaces where EVERYONE can experience joy and belonging. ❤️

Our Director of Socials Mr Joseph remains one of White Angels Foundation greatest gifts.
He has been here since the inception in 2018 and for every event, he has shown up and shown off.
Joseph only needs to be told the vision and he makes it a reality.

Starting today with gratitude.
A big thank you to our Education Hero Mr Agboola, who has consistently poured into the lives of children with Albinism through quality education since 2019.
Mr Agboola started off with 2 children and presently caters for 23 children with albinism under our scholarship scheme.

23 children have access to quality education thanks to Mr Agboola.
Thank you for honoring our invitation.
Thank you for coming to cheer us up in Alure.
You made all the difference.
We appreciate you beyond words and what our plaques can express.

This is why we do what we do at White Angels Foundation.
We are not just raising awareness about albinism, we are nurturing a generation that sees people before differences,
chooses friendship over prejudice, and understands that inclusion is simply allowing everyone to BE.
