WHEN CHILDREN FEEL UNSAFE, frightened or vulnerable, they become unusually attached to an adult they perceive as a source of comfort and security.
This can look like excessive clinginess, reluctance to leave that person's side, or constantly seeking their reassurance and approval.
While strong attachments are often healthy and natural, sudden changes in a child's behaviour or emotional dependence can sometimes signal that they are struggling with fear, stress, or uncertainty.
Pay attention, listen carefully, create safe spaces where children feel protected, valued, and heard.
Because every child's behaviour tells a story and sometimes, it's asking for help.
