Madam Lingalireni Mihowa, NICE Public Trust Malawi board chairperson, has emphasised that Malawi can learn best practices learnt from the election observation of the 2024 South Africa General Elections. Mihowa said the elections were a good example of inclusiveness where the elderly and people with disabilities were given an apportunity to exercise their right to vote in their homes called special vote. Electoral Reforms Conference 2020

The NICE Public Trust with support from the Malawi Government, OSISA and the European Union (EU) will tomorrow Thursday and Friday (3rd to 4th September, 2020 respectively) hold an Electoral Reforms Review Conference at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe. Due to the COVID-19 containment restrictions, the number of participants at the Conference will be limited. To ensure many stakeholders participate, the proceedings will be beamed on social media platforms including the NICE Public Trust Facebook and Twitter Pages. Some remote participants will be brought in via Zoom.
