Yesterday, Malawi celebrated the 2024 International Youth Day in Machinga, under the theme, “From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for the Achievement of Malawi 2063.” The event highlighted the transformative role of digital technology in achieving the nation’s long-term goals.

During pavilion tour, Staff Nyoni Programmer S. Nyoni And Uppeh Arced shared incredible stories of how Save the Children Malawi is empowering young people with digital skills. I Focused much on the Shift project, where drone technology is used to map waste and improve waste management in local markets with support from the Drone Tech Giant Wind Ride Aeros . Staff Nyoni showcased his innovative through the Future M project, which offers online lessons to visually impaired children after regular school hours.

The event was graced by the Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports, Uchizi Mkandawire, who emphasized the vital role of digital empowerment for achieving the Malawi 2063 blueprint.

Empowering Youth, Envisioning Change!

Generation for Change proudly featured Youth Forum for National Transformation in our impactful project, Tikambilane Achinyamata, held at Pride Foundation.

Together, we sparked meaningful conversations on HIV/AIDS-related issues, focusing on how they affect young people.

Our discussion shed light on:

- Stigma and discrimination
- Prevention and awareness
- Access to healthcare and support
- Empowerment and education

By amplifying youth voices, we aim to break barriers, challenge norms, and foster a supportive community.

As one way of not leaving anyone behind on environmental responsibility, DUYOWO together with LUANAR ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB engaged standard 8 learners at Mvama Primary School on a tree planting exercise.
After tree planting they had to undergo career talk and mentorship preparing them for their last examinations as the days to their final examinations are clocking.

As one way of activating 16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM, *Dubai Youth Watch Organization (DUYOWO)* of Shire zone together with *GIRL POWER FOR CHANGE* of Mvunguti zone spent time with leaners at *MVAMA PRIMARY SCHOOL* in area 49 Dubai discuss issues affecting young people in schools.

Lilongwe District Youth Office through District Youth Network established a new zone called shire zone, the DYO's office conducted HIV/AIDS prevention training and a zonal committee was elected, we are very humble to have our Executive Director mr Arced being in the committee as the committee member.

Dubai Youth Watch Organization in collaboration with Area 18 health Center we were at Mvama Primary School to deserminat the information on SRH,MENTAL HEALTH, and GBV as it is a crucial issue affecting young people.

It was so nice intracting hearing the views of young people on SRH, MENTAL ILLNESS and GBV related issues.
