On the World Polio Day celebrated on 24 October 2025, we were delighted to host an engaging event at Maora Restaurant, Telfair - Moka and co-sponsored by Eastern Trading. We presented the Rotary Club of Ebene, the philosophy of Rotary International and the accomplishments of our club to potential members and donors. Welcoming the New Generation of Changemakers at LBIS!

On 16 September 2025, the Rotary Club of Ebene which was represented by our President, Nadvi Sulyman, Past President Dr. Krish Surnam, Past President Raid Dusmohamed and Aroulen Kistnasamy, proudly took part in the Induction Ceremony of the Interact Club of Le Bocage International School (LBIS).

New Interactors were officially pinned, marking the start of their journey in the Interact Club, Rotary’s global youth movement. We also celebrated the achievements of current Interactors with Certificates of Appreciation for their inspiring service projects.

As our President shared:

“When you wear the Interact pin, you're saying: I choose to care. I choose to serve. I choose to make a difference.”

To the young leaders of LBIS – your energy, compassion, and dedication light the way forward. The future of service is indeed bright!

Several Board Members of our club including our President, Nadvi Sulyman, were delighted to participate in the "Atelier Club Dynamique" on Saturday 6 September in the presence of our District Governor, Bernard Leong Son. This insightful workshop was an excellent platform to learn from seasoned Rotarians, and share experiences in a convivial setting which provided networking opportunities.

We were honoured to welcome Rotarian Dr. Ravi Kumar R. who is an accomplished researcher and Head of the Center for Robotics & Humanoid and Assistant Professor at APS College of Engineering, Bangalore, India. In his presentation, he explained his progress in robotics research and engineering. Ravi has been very engaged in both Rotary International and Rotaract in Bangalore over the last 15 years or so. We look forward to meeting other Rotarians from Bangalore in the near future.

As part of our social activities, we were warmly welcomed by the Crystal Angel Residential Care Home in Vacoas today to donate blankets to the home residents.
