✨ The Mabel Strickland Room ✨

We are proud to present the Mabel Strickland Room, a versatile and welcoming space designed for collaboration, discussion, and dynamic group sessions.
Named after Mabel Edeline Strickland (1899–1988) — a prominent Maltese journalist, newspaper proprietor, and politician. This room reflects independence, leadership, and the power of a strong voice. As editor of The Times of Malta and Il-Berqa, and later a parliamentary representative, she played a key role in shaping Malta’s public discourse and strengthening democratic values, while paving the way for women in public life.

✨ The Dr Blanche Huber Room ✨

We are proud to present the Dr Blanche Huber Room, a welcoming and adaptable space designed to support learning, creativity, and meaningful engagement.
Named after Dr Blanche Huber (1900–1940) — the first Maltese woman to graduate in Medicine from the University of Malta in 1925 — this room honours a true pioneer. At a time when higher education was largely inaccessible to women, her achievement challenged societal norms and inspired generations to pursue academic and professional excellence.

We are proud to present the Agatha Barbara Room, a bright and versatile space designed for learning, collaboration, and professional development.
Named after Agatha Barbara (1923–2002) — a pioneering Maltese stateswoman and reformer. This room honours a woman who helped shape modern Malta. As the first woman elected to Malta’s House of Representatives and later Malta’s first female President, she championed education, social justice, and women’s rights, paving the way for future generations.

✨ The Marchesa Anna Bugeja Room ✨

We are proud to present the Marchesa Anna Bugeja Room, a professional and elegant space designed for meetings, presentations, and corporate events.
Named in honour of Marchioness Anna Bugeja (1830–1916) — a noblewoman, philanthropist, and visionary. This room reflects the leadership and compassion at the heart of the Conservatorio’s legacy. Together with Marquis Vincenzo Bugeja, she founded the Conservatorio Vincenzo Bugeja, offering shelter, education, and dignity to vulnerable young women. Her generosity also extended to the wider community, including the funding of the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows in St Paul’s Bay.

✨ Exciting Update from The Anna Initiative ✨
As we continue working passionately towards turning this project into a reality, we want to share an important step forward with our community.
To help support and sustain the initiative, we will soon be opening our doors for room rentals. This will not only contribute to funding the project, but also create meaningful opportunities for the community to connect with and be part of what we are building.
We’re truly excited about this next phase and what it means for the future of the initiative.

Our day at Ta’ Lazzru Farm has come to an end, and we couldn’t have asked for a more meaningful experience.

From harvesting fresh strawberries to sharing a meal together, the girls had the opportunity to connect with nature, food and each other; even taking home plants they cared for themselves.

A heartfelt thank you Joanne and Rhiannon from Ta' Lazzru for collaborating with us on this initiative. Their warmth, generosity, and willingness to share their knowledge created a space where the girls felt welcomed, and inspired, & truly enjoyed every moment.

Ta’ Lazzru Farm (est. 1908)

We’re excited to collaborate with Ta’ Lazzru Farm to provide a special experience at their family farm!

The farm has been part of their family for over a century, and they love bringing that tradition to life for their visitors. They blend their rich farming heritage with a fresh, modern perspective, creating a welcoming space where learning and fun go hand in hand.

A group of young girls will have the opportunity to enjoy access to the farm, hands-on activities, and a seasonal workshop designed to create an immersive day in nature.

🚜 What to expect:
* Farming & Hands-On Activities – Get your hands in the soil while planting, harvesting, weeding, and taking part in seasonal tasks.
* Team-Building Experience – Fun farm-based challenges.

Participants will leave inspired, with new skills, stronger connections, and a deeper appreciation for sustainable farming and healthy eating.

🌱 Free Farm to Fork Experience for Young Girls 🍅

The Anna Initiative, in collaboration with Ta' Lazzru Farms, is offering a unique and hands-on Farm to Fork experience designed especially for young girls aged 11–12 years and it’s completely FREE of charge.

Participants will spend a full day at the farm, where they will:

🌿 Learn about seasonal farming
🌱 Plant and harvest fresh produce
🚜 Take part in traditional farm tasks
🍝 Cook the vegetables they harvest and turn them into a delicious homemade pasta dish

This is a wonderful opportunity for young girls to connect with nature, learn valuable life skills, and enjoy a fun and educational day outdoors.

📅 Date: 19th March 2026
👧 Age Group: 11–12 year old girls
🎟 Cost: Free of charge
📌 Reservations: First come, first served
