Growing up in Moldova, I never imagined that one day so many families would be forced to seek safety so close to home.
Over the past years, I have seen moments that stay with you forever: strangers opening their doors, children finding reasons to smile again, and communities coming together when it mattered most.
Today, as we mark 75 years of the 1951 Refugee Convention, I am proud of the compassion that people continue to show every day. It reminds me that hope is not something we simply talk about, it is something we create for one another.
Behind every refugee is a person, a family, a future.
And I believe that every future deserves a chance ❤️
