🎉 25 de ani de Tony Hawks Centru — O sărbătoare a curajului, speranței și dedicării
Vineri, 12 iunie 2025, am celebrat împreună 25 de ani de reabilitare pediatrică neîntreruptă în Republica Moldova — 25 de ani în care Centrul Tony Hawks a stat alături de mii de copii cu nevoi speciale și de familiile lor.
Sub sloganul „Mențineți deschis Tony Hawks Centrul", evenimentul a reunit oameni care au construit, susținut și iubit această instituție de-a lungul unui sfert de secol.
Ne-a onorat cu prezența dl Tony Hawks — părintele centrului, cel al cărui suflet mare și viziune generoasă a dat naștere acestui centru acum 25 de ani. Alături de el, dl Martin Wilcox, Directorul ChildAid Eastern Europe — partenerul nostru britanic fidel, fără de care această poveste nu ar fi fost posibilă.
Am primit cu deosebită onoare vizita Excelenței Sale dna Fern Horine, Ambasadoarea UK în Republica Moldova — un semn că misiunea noastră depășește granițele și inspiră.
Dar cel mai emoționant moment al serii a fost prezența lui Marin și Nichita — foști beneficiari ai Centrului Tony Hawks, astăzi tineri împliniți — dovada vie că fiecare oră de terapie, fiecare pas micuț celebrat în sălile noastre, a contat.
Ce am construit împreună în 25 de ani:
✅ Un sediu modern pentru 600 copii anual cu o piscină caldă pentru hidrokinetoteraie;
✅ Mii de copii asistați prin programe interdisciplinare de recuperare;
✅ Peste 1 milion de euro investiți doar în infrastructură, dotare și educarea specialiștilor;
✅ Peste 100 de specialisti instruiti in reabiliatarea copiilor cu nevoi speciale, în deosebi în
terapie ocupațională;
Mulțumim tuturor celor care au crezut în noi — donatori, parteneri, părinți, specialiști și prieteni ai Centrului.

🎉 25 Years of Tony Hawks Centre — A Celebration of Courage, Hope and Dedication
On Friday, 13 June 2025, we celebrated together 25 years of uninterrupted paediatric rehabilitation in the Republic of Moldova — 25 years during which the Tony Hawks Centre has stood beside thousands of children with special needs and their families.
Under the motto "Keep Tony Hawks Centre Open", the event brought together the people who have built, supported and loved this institution over a quarter of a century.
We were honoured by the presence of Mr Tony Hawks — our founder and patron, whose generous vision and great heart gave life to this Centre 25 years ago. Alongside him, Mr Martin Wilcox, Director of ChildAid Eastern Europe — our steadfast British partner, without whom this story would not have been possible.
We were deeply honoured to welcome Her Excellency Ms Fern Horine, UK Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova — a testament that our mission reaches beyond borders and continues to inspire.
But the most moving moment of the evening was the presence of Marin and Nichita — former beneficiaries of the Tony Hawks Centre, today thriving young men — living proof that every hour of therapy, every small step celebrated in our halls, truly mattered.
What we have built together over 25 years:
✅ A modern facility serving 600 children annually, with a heated pool for hydrotherapy;
✅ Thousands of children supported through interdisciplinary rehabilitation programmes;
✅ Over 1 million euros invested in infrastructure, equipment and specialist training alone;
✅ Over 100 specialists trained in the rehabilitation of children with special needs, with particular focus on occupational therapy;
