For a long time, I thought strength meant carrying it all.

Being the one people could count on.
The one who figured it out.
The one who stepped in before anything fell apart.

And if I'm honest, a part of me wore that like a badge of honor.

But somewhere along the way, I learned a hard truth:

Just because I can carry it all doesn't mean I'm supposed to.

Some of us have been strong for so long that we've forgotten what support feels like.

We've become so used to holding everything together that rest feels uncomfortable and receiving feels unfamiliar.

These days, I'm learning that freedom isn't found in proving how much I can carry.

It's found in knowing what to put down.

✨ So I'll leave you with this:

What is one thing you're carrying right now that was never meant to be yours alone?

You’d have to listen to my previous video to understand this one. 😊

As you can see, I got my 15 minutes back from my noon appointment.

And when I arrived, the bus wasn’t even ready.

Now, this is not an excuse to be late or careless with your time. As leaders, we have a responsibility to plan, prepare, and honor other people’s time.

But here’s what I was reminded of:

Sometimes we create suffering twice.

First from the situation.
Then from the story we tell ourselves about the situation.

I was getting anxious about being behind schedule. Then I caught myself and chose a different thought.

The traffic shifted.
The GPS rerouted.
The timeline adjusted.

The lesson wasn’t that I controlled time.

The lesson was that I stopped letting time control me.

Do your best.
Prepare well.
And when you’ve done all you can do, trust.

Sometimes the thing you’re worried about is already working itself out.

I almost missed the message because I was focused on the clock.

But life has a funny way of reminding me that not everything is mine to force.

Some things are meant to be trusted.

Today was one of those days. ❤️

One thing about me?
I'm gonna laugh.
I spent way too many years believing everything had to be serious. Every meeting. Every goal. Every problem. Every responsibility.

Now?
If we're together and something funny happens, I'm laughing. Life is already carrying enough weight. I don't need to volunteer for more.

I watched three women apologize today.
One apologized for asking a question.
One apologized for needing help.
One apologized for taking up space.
Nobody told them they needed to apologize. They just did it automatically.
And it got me thinking...
How many of us learned to make ourselves smaller before we even entered the room?
Not because we wanted to.
Because we were taught to.

Read that again.

Maybe the problem isn't that she's carrying too little, maybe it's that we've been celebrating women for carrying far too much.

The strongest thing I did wasn't take a sabbatical. It was to tell the truth.

People love the sabbatical story.

They love the pictures. They love the rest. They love the transformation.

But the strongest thing I did wasn't take a sabbatical.

The strongest thing I did was tell the truth.
The truth that things weren't working.
The truth that I was exhausted.
The truth that I had built parts of my life around sacrifice.
The truth came first. Everything else came after.

If this resonates, sit with it.

Today, I’m honoring the ones who gave everything so we could live, dream, speak freely, and build lives with possibility. ❤️🤍💙

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It’s a reminder that freedom has always come with sacrifice. And I don’t take that lightly.

Holding space today for the families carrying loss, for the names we may never know, and for every soul who served with courage.

May we live fully, love deeply, and never waste the gift of being here. ✨

Thought I lost connection.
Really, life was redirecting me into alignment.

Funny how the inconvenience ended up carrying the exact thing I needed.

We blame God for what we’re going through…

But what did you pray for?

Because growth, healing, purpose, and freedom all come with a process. 🔥
