Jersey Youth Service’s target age range for young people is 12 – 18 years, and also recognises the work with 8 to 11 year olds and also some of the targeted youth work opportunities with young adults 18 to 25 years just as important.

ST.BRELADES YOUTH CLUB

We finished summer with our Young Workers celebrating all thier hard work & a big goodbye to one of our young workers before they go off on their adventures 🌞

📍 - we started off with axe throwing & archery tag
📍 - we the. Headed down for a surf with laneez surf school
📍.upjsy - finishing off the day with the best jacket potatoes in town 🤙🏼

Our young workers volunteer alot of their own time to support the running and delivery of Youth Work in their youth clubs. They supporting the planning, delivering and evaluation of whay we deliver and ensure our approach is always young person centered.

So, it's super important to give them celebrated time & a big thank you for all thier hard work 🙏🏼

ST. BRELADE’S & ST. PETER’S YOUTH CLUB ☀️

We teamed up this summer for a residential at St. Aubin’s Fort with our Year 7 & 8s — and what a week it was! The sun was out in full force and we packed so much into our time together. 🌊

The young people helped plan and lead what they wanted to do, and we got up to loads:

🎣 Night fishing
🏰 Sandcastle making
🍕 Pizza and sunsets
🌊 Pier jumping & plenty of time in the sea
🧗 Abseiling
🔎 Exploring around the fort
👩‍🍳 Cooking together

Such an amazing week full of fun, new experiences and memories made. We loved collaborating together and we’re already planning another residential for next summer! ☀️🙌🏼

🌧 Some interesting weather conditions last week meant our outdoor youth club moved indoors! The group did an amazing job working with wood and carving spoons and coat hooks, and even some dog leads were made 👏

⛑️ Well done to the young people who completed their basic first aid training yesterday with Sol Services!

⛑️ They covered so much in just a few hours, from CPR to choking, allergies to bandaging. They asked lots of questions and had a go at treating Annie!

⛑️ Thank you so much to trainer John for the excellent and engaging delivery. This free course was possible thanks to kind funding from Life At Aztec for educational initiatives, so a huge thank you Aztec for continuing to support young carers!

In-between our summer programme offer, our seniors had their St Aubins fort residential! ☀️

The trip offered some much needed downtime after a hectic exam period for our group. Nothing beats abit of quality time with your pals in summer... especially at the fort. 🙌
