We are delighted to welcome Caylen Santos to Jersey. Caylen has travelled from the USA to join us as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Ladies of Variety Jersey.

During her visit, Caylen spoke with Matthew Price about the incredible work of Variety, her role as CEO of Variety International, and her impressions of Jersey.

This exciting space will provide children with a safe, fun and engaging environment to play, exercise and develop for many years to come.

What a fantastic day! ⛳❤️
In true Variety tradition, we were delighted to take part in the annual Barker Martin Mundy Golf Day, welcoming many of our friends from the north for a superb day of golf, great company and glorious weather.
The day was rounded off with an excellent meal, an outstanding raffle and an auction that certainly encouraged some enthusiastic bidding!
Most importantly, an incredible £10,500 was raised to help support children across Jersey through Variety.
A huge thank you to Martin Mundy for his generosity, commitment and continued support. Martin, you have a very big heart and your kindness is making a real difference to local children and their families.
We would also like to thank everyone who played, sponsored, donated prizes and supported the event. Together, you are helping Variety Jersey continue its vital work across our Island.

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Lummy, a much-loved member of the Variety Jersey family.

Lummy was involved with Variety for many years and was one of those special people who never sought recognition but was always there whenever help was needed. From the early days of the Monday Club, started by Herbie and Barbie Bucholz and Pat Mooney, Lummy was a constant presence, always willing to lend a hand and do whatever was required.

His dedication and commitment to helping others were recognised when he received a Citation from Variety International, a great honour and a fitting tribute to his years of service.

In more recent years, many children and families will remember Lummy as the man behind the music at our Variety children’s parties, helping to create so many happy memories.

The essence of Lummy was simple: if something needed doing, he would volunteer. He was kind, dependable, generous with his time and a true friend to Variety.

Lummy was a great human being who touched the lives of many people. He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time.

Rest in peace, Lummy.
