“Maria Giovanna Mallei Prize” | “Mariele Ventre Prize”
37th Edition | June 26–28, 2026 (arrival 25th/departure 29th)
Art. 1 – Organization and Purpose
The International Festival of Sardinia – City of Uta is organized by the “Stelle e Umanità” Association.
It promotes music and performing arts.
It fosters cultural exchange between artists of different nationalities.
The competition is open to soloists and groups of any age and artistic level.
Art. 2 – Participation Requirements
Open to all professional and amateur artists, regardless of nationality.
Minimum age: 4 years old by the start date of the festival.
Each contestant must perform two songs of different genres, in any language.
Song duration: Between 2:30 and 3:40 minutes.
Art. 3 – Categories and Musical Genres
Age Categories:
Children's Voices A: 4–7 years old
Children's Voices B: 8–11 years old
Youth: 12–17 years old
Young Adults: 18–25 years old
Adults: Over 25 years old
Musical Genres:
First Song (Selection):
CLASSICAL: Opera or solo vocal repertoire.
CONTEMPORARY POP: Recent chart-topping hits.
CLASSIC POP: Historical hits (primarily from the 1970s–1990s).
JAZZ / SWING: Standards and swing era classics.
EUROVISION COVER SONGS: Any song previously performed at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Second Song (Selection):
ORIGINAL & NATIONAL SONGS: Original compositions or traditional songs from the artist's home country.
FOLK / TRADITIONAL: Ethno-folk or traditional heritage music.
MOVIES & MUSICALS: Soundtracks or theater pieces.
OLDIES GOLDIES: Famous classics from the past (distinct from standard "Classic Pop").
ROCK / SOFT ROCK: Rock anthems or acoustic/soft rock ballads.

Audio/video recordings of the chosen competition songs.-
Lyrics of the songs (Italian/English).
Identification document (Parent/guardian for minors; personal for adults).
Proof of age document (for minors).
Digital high-resolution headshot (portrait).

Note: Registration is only valid upon receipt of all required documents and payment confirmation. You will receive a confirmation email stating: “You are registered for the competition.”
Art. 5 – Selection and Jury
The jury consists of international musicians, artistic directors, composers, and music critics.
Evaluation Criteria: Artistic quality, program originality, expressiveness, interpretive skill, consistency, and innovation.
The jury’s decision is final and unappealable.
Ex aequo (tie) prizes may be awarded in case of equal scores.
Art. 6 – Prizes and Awards
“Mariele Ventre” Prize – Grand Prix Junior (Children's Voices 4–11 years).
“Maria Giovanna Mallei” Prize – Grand Prix Youth, Young Adults, and Adults.
Special Awards: Best interpretation, best group, and certificates of participation.
Awards Ceremony: To be held during the final ceremony on June 28.
Art. 7 – General Rules
Participation implies full acceptance and respect of these regulations.
The organization reserves the right to modify the program or duration; changes will be communicated promptly.
Travel, board, and lodging expenses are the responsibility of the contestant.
The organization may record performances and use audio/video/photographic material for promotional purposes.

Art. 9 – Privacy
Personal data will be processed in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and used exclusively for the management of the competition.
*Registration Fees and Payment
Soloists: €100 registration fee.
Groups/Ensembles: €100 base fee plus €25 for each additional member.
Deadline: Payment must be completed by May 1, 2026.
Payment Methods: Bank transfer or online payment system.
Refund Policy: The registration fee is non-refundable in the event of cancellation by the participant.
