From Bias to Belonging has come to an end, but it will stay in our hearts for a long time. ❤️

The Italian team in Cyprus. Open minds. Full hearts. 🇮🇹

What did our team learn?

Recognizing stereotypes and hate speech. 🚫
Human rights and how to protect them. ⚖️
Walking in the shoes of migrants and understanding their struggles. 🌍
The Peacemaker Protocol, solving conflicts without breaking relationships. 🕊️
How media shapes opinions and how to fight microaggressions through storytelling. 📰
The value of active listening and empathy in everyday conversations. 👂
How to design inclusive public spaces where everyone feels welcome. 🏛️
That privilege and opportunity are not the same for everyone, and that reflection is the first step to change.

Dancing, eating, and laughing together filled the days with joy. Four cultural nights brought cultural food, music, and traditions to new friends. Mosques and churches were visited with respect for every religion. Locals shared real voices and real stories, showing Cyprus as a living example of multiculturalism. Different religions, languages, and traditions have been sharing this small island for hundreds of years.

This project was all about deep conversations, uncomfortable questions, moments of doubt, and moments of breakthrough and real learning. 🧠

A huge thank to Bridges, not Walls for the warmth, the dedication, the vision 🙏

Thank you to every participant from Cyprus, Romania, and Lithuania. 🇨🇾🇷🇴🇱🇹

We will keep building bridges.

CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS FROM Italy🇮🇹 FOR CYPRUS🇨🇾

"From Bias to Belonging"
📆Date: 3-11 April 2026
📍Location: Larnaca, Cyprus

About Project:
The project addresses a critical rise in social polarization, xenophobia, and hate speech currently affecting youth across Europe. Many young people living in multicultural environments lack the necessary
intercultural literacy and resilience to move from being passive bystanders to active "upstanders" against discrimination. Furthermore, the prevalence of digital echo chambers often reinforces negative stereotypes, making it difficult for youth to engage in meaningful dialogue. This initiative specifically targets these gaps by fostering a sense of belonging and providing participants, especially those facing social or economic barriers, with the practical tools needed to deconstruct personal biases and navigate diverse societies with empathy and confidence.

Aligned with the Erasmus+ programme, it focuses on learning mobility, personal growth, non-formal education, sustainability, and social inclusion — encouraging young people to become active, responsible citizens of a united and resilient Europe.

🏠 Accommodation, meals, training materials, and certificates are fully covered.
💶 Travel reimbursement up to 309 EUR.

Are you passionate about building understanding, resolving conflicts, and making a positive difference in your community? Do you believe in the power of youth to be a force for peace in everyday life?

We are forming a dedicated group of young people for an upcoming international youth exchange project, "Bridges, Not Walls: Everyday Peacemakers," planned to take place in Larnaca, Cyprus, around mid-September. The host organisation is Bridges Not Walls

We are looking for motivated individuals aged 18-29 who are ready to embark on a journey from personal growth to active citizenship. This project aims to equip participants with practical skills to de-escalate conflicts, intervene safely as bystanders, and use digital tools for social good.

If our project is approved, participants will have the opportunity to develop the following skills.

Practical Skills: Learn and practice essential techniques for conflict de-escalation and bystander intervention.

Intercultural Exchange: Break down stereotypes and build genuine empathy through teamwork with peers from across Europe.

Digital Citizenship: Develop skills to counter online hate speech and create positive digital content.

Active Citizenship: Connect with European youth policies and explore pathways to community engagement.

Holistic Development: Enhance a wide range of personal and professional skills, including leadership, project management, public speaking, and collaborative problem-solving in a multicultural environment.

A Lasting Network: Become part of an "Everyday Peacemakers" alumni community for ongoing support and collaboration.

Important Note: This is a pre-selection call for a project awaiting formal approval. By applying now, you are expressing your strong interest and commitment. If selected, you will become a core part of the project's planning and preparation team. The final confirmation of the project is subject to grant approval.

If you are eager to develop yourself and contribute to a more peaceful and connected Europe, we want to hear from you!

Your Voice Matters! 🌍

Young people today are growing up in a digital world, but many are not fully prepared for the risks that come with it. Social media is a huge part of daily life, yet personal data is often collected, shared, or misused without their knowledge.
Most young users don't read privacy policies, rarely change default settings, and may even start using apps like Instagram, TikTok, and WhatsApp before the age of 13.

That's why, we're developing a new project called "Invisible No More" - a youth initiative that aims to raise awareness about online privacy and make sure young people know their rights in digital spaces.

But here's the thing: we don't want to design this project without hearing from
YOU first.

We created a short survey to collect real opinions and experiences from young people. Your answers will help us shape activities and tools that make privacy rights clear, simple, and useful for everyone.

It only takes 2-3 minutes, it's anonymous, and it's all about YOUR digital life.
