Happy to share that AraBat, selected in February, has successfully completed the outstanding XPRENEURS acceleration program. It is part of the UnternehmerTUM, which has been ranked Europe’s leading start-up hub for the third consecutive year by the Financial Times and Statista.

Over the past three months, AraBat had the chance to grow faster, pitch sharper, and connect with some of the best minds in deep-tech, venture capital, and B2B innovation. The UnternehmerTUM community helped us challenge assumptions, refine our go-to-market, and build momentum we’re taking into our next chapter. What stays with us is the community that made us grow beyond expectations.

We are proud to graduate from Batch #19 and to have brought into this ecosystem our vision: turning biomass and food waste into natural chemistry for the sustainable recovery of critical materials from lithium batteries, e-waste, and advanced industrial waste streams.

A big thank you to the entire UnternehmerTUM Accelerator team for the quality of the program, the energy of the community, and the strength of the ecosystem they have built.

AraBat’s international journey keeps accelerating, and it is becoming more concrete every day.

2026: is this really AraBat’s year?

Step by step, it is starting to look that way.

We are incredibly proud to share that AraBat has won TecnoNidi 2026, an important public support measure that will help us accelerate the development of our first proprietary pilot plant for bio-based recycling of lithium batteries and advanced waste streams.

For us, this is not just another result. It is a meaningful milestone in a journey built with persistence, vision, and a lot of hard work — starting from Southern Italy, with the ambition to bring a new generation of sustainable industrial technologies to the world.

This recognition gives further strength to our mission: transforming waste into value through biomass-driven recycling solutions, recovering critical raw materials in a cleaner, more circular, and more strategic way for Europe’s future.

A special thank you goes to Salvatore Modeo and the entire The Qube team — Giulia Vantaggiato, Vanessa Coppola, Valerio Lecci, and all the others — for the extraordinary support they gave us from the very beginning throughout this initiative. I am truly happy to have believed in them and chosen them after winning the MOST Mobility Competition 2024.

Their support, professionalism, and energy made a real difference.

2026 is proving to be a very important year for AraBat. And we are only getting started.

Absolutely thrilled to share what has just happened: our company AraBat has signed a technical-commercial agreement with the Japanese multi-billion-dollar giant Taiyo Yuden, a leading multinational electronic components manufacturer with global operations.

This agreement comes after an in-depth journey of discussions, meetings, exploration, and mutual alignment on key objectives that are essential for the growth of both our organizations. These conversations took place both in person in Japan and remotely, together with the outstanding team of the Japanese company.

The goals of this project are truly ambitious, and we are fully committed to addressing them in the best possible way. This partnership represents an important step forward for AraBat and a strong confirmation of the international relevance of our vision, technology, and long-term industrial roadmap.

We are proud and grateful for the trust placed in us, and excited to begin this new chapter alongside such a prestigious global player. We look forward to working together, exchanging expertise, and building concrete value through innovation, collaboration, and shared ambition.

❗Siamo lieti di annunciare la firma di una Lettera di Intenti (LOI) tra AraBat srl e TAIYO YUDEN, produttore giapponese di componenti elettronici con operazioni a livello globale 🇮🇹🇪🇺🇯🇵

Questa LOI definisce il quadro all’interno del quale le due parti stanno attualmente negoziando e sviluppando un accordo per lo sviluppo di un Proof of Concept (PoC), finalizzato all’implementazione di un PoC tecnologico basato sulle soluzioni di riciclo bio-based proprietarie di AraBat e sul suo know-how innovativo.

Il PoC in fase di sviluppo è progettato per:
🔸 Recuperare in modo efficiente materie prime critiche da rifiuti elettronici come batterie al litio a fine vita e componenti elettronici, nonché da scarti industriali.
🔸 Integrare biomassa disponibile localmente nella Prefettura di Gunma (Giappone) nelle soluzioni di riciclo bio-based di AraBat.

Questo momento segna una tappa fondamentale nel percorso di AraBat, poiché rappresenta il potenziale di un’espansione ufficiale del nostro know-how unico nel riciclo verso nuovi prodotti e matrici a livello globale, come gli MLCC, rafforzando ulteriormente il nostro ruolo nel futuro dell’approvvigionamento circolare dei materiali.
Questa LOI conferma inoltre il successo della missione di AraBat in Giappone nell’ambito del programma Calling2Scale Gunma, dimostrando l’impatto concreto dei ponti di innovazione internazionale resi possibili da EIT Global Outreach, un’iniziativa dell’EIT – European Institute of Innovation and Technology, organismo dell’Unione Europea.

Al raggiungimento degli obiettivi concordati congiuntamente all’interno del PoC, le parti intendono valutare ulteriori opportunità di partnership. Il futuro dell’economia circolare si costruisce attraverso momenti come questo. La prossima rivoluzione industriale sarà bio-based 🍊🔋
