🔹 A new chapter for AlpineBits: Members’ Meeting 2026

Yesterday in Bolzano we held the AlpineBits Alliance Members’ Meeting, bringing together our members to mark the start of a new year of collaboration.

During the assembly, we reviewed the work ahead and formally approved the AlpineBits activities for 2026, setting the course for the months to come and reaffirming the shared commitment of our community.

Moments like these are an important opportunity to pause, align and make sure that the development of AlpineBits continues to reflect the needs of the ecosystem around it.

And of course, AlpineBits meetings never end exactly when the agenda does. As tradition now dictates, after the formal session we moved to a convivial lunch, where discussions continued in a more relaxed atmosphere - with plenty of exchanges and good conversations around the table.

Here’s to a year of progress, collaboration and new milestones for AlpineBits.

❗ NEWS ❗Open Data Hub achieves AlpineBits Certification

We are proud to announce that Open Data Hub (NOI Techpark) has successfully completed the AlpineBits certification audit and is now officially AlpineBits certified.

This certification confirms that Open Data Hub’s implemented interface is fully compliant with the AlpineBits HotelData 2024-10 standard and has successfully passed a structured and comprehensive audit covering technical correctness, stability, reliability and market readiness for tourism and hospitality data exchange.

Certification is not a formality - it is a technical validation process designed to ensure real interoperability within the AlpineBits ecosystem.

How did Open Data Hub complete the certification process? Here are the official steps:
1️⃣ Implementation testing using the AlpineBits Pre-Certification Tool before the audit.
2️⃣ Completion and submission of the Self-Assessment Checklist to verify the implementation against AlpineBits requirements.
3️⃣ Validation and payment of the Certification Fee once the checklist is approved.
4️⃣ Official certification audit, scheduled and conducted by the AlpineBits team to verify full compliance.
5️⃣ Successful completion of the audit, leading to the official AlpineBits Certification.

Certification ensures that implementations are reliable, standards-compliant and ready for productive market use.

🌟 Looking back, moving forward: AlpineBits Alliance in 2025

As 2025 comes to a close, we want to thank all AlpineBits members, developers and supporters for another year of shared progress and collaboration.

On 20th November, we gathered at Johannserhof for the AlpineBits Autumn Meeting & Törggelen - our final event of the year. It was more than just a meeting: it was a moment to take stock of where we are, share feedback and reconnect around a good table.

During the meeting, we looked ahead to the next release, AlpineBits HotelData 2026-10 and discussed how to make implementation even smoother through new quickstart guides. We also touched on the growing adoption of our new certification process and how we can support more partners in becoming certified.

After the formal session, the evening continued in true Southtyrolean style - with our traditional Törggelen dinner, local specialities and warm conversations that reminded us why AlpineBits is more than just a standard. It is a community!

🆕 As we look to 2026, we’re excited to continue on this path. Our focus will be on releasing HotelData 2026-10, simplifying adoption for all stakeholders, and encouraging more certified implementations. We will also begin preparing for the deactivation of outdated interfaces and introduce a new role - Committers - to welcome freelance contributors into the development process. And for the first time, we will open the door to voluntary donations, inviting all who believe in open standards to support the work we do.

AlpineBits Alliance at Fiera Hotel Messe 2025

Last week, AlpineBits members met in Bolzano during Hotel Messe 2025 for an informal catch-up. It was a valuable moment midway through the ongoing work towards our next release: AlpineBits HotelData 2026-10, due in October 2026.

🗣️ The gathering offered a welcome opportunity to share updates, align on priorities and exchange insights across the Alliance.

🍽️ We then enjoyed a relaxed lunch at Forst Season, where we combined good food with meaningful conversations about the future of data exchange in tourism.

✨ What’s next

📅 In November, our members will come together again for the AlpineBits Autumn Meeting and Törggelen. This will be a chance to reflect on the year’s achievements, set future goals and enjoy a traditional South Tyrolean Törggelen with the community.
