There is a jungle near Ganga Prem Hospice and sometimes, we sight wildlife. A herd of deer, or even a leopard.
Yesterday, when a GPH team was on its way, this majestic-looking male sambar deer stood some distance away, as we held our breaths. We were lucky that the deer continued to give us a perfect pose, and then nonchalantly walked away! 🦌💚

We were deeply honoured to welcome Krishna Das and his team and friends to Ganga Prem Hospice today.

KD spent time interacting with our patients and gifted us a deeply calming kirtan session, singing Sita Ram and the Hanuman Chalisa.

The World Hospice & Palliative Care Day celebrated at Ganga Prem Hospice today with little thumb prints that left a huge mark on the day.
A morning of fun sitting together and enjoying music, and creating an art piece with colours.

We had a very special afternoon at Ganga Prem Hospice today, with Nina Rao Chant singing the Hanuman Chalisa and verses from the Chandi paath.
Patients came out to listen to the kirtan and their caregivers too!

The festival of is one of the most enjoyable days at Ganga Prem Hospice.
A happiness cart goes around with colourful rakhis, sweets, chocolates and flowers. Rakhis are tied on everybody's wrist.
The GPH team members have loads of fun too, with the younger team members tying the rakhi thread onto their seniors and getting their blessings in return. 🥰🎀

Interpersonal skills perhaps matter more in a hospice care setting, than anywhere else.
Ganga Prem Hospice Assistant Nursing Administrator Manisha Joshi took the opportunity to discuss communication and the sensitive handling of information with the hospice nursing assistants and housekeeping staff, this morning.

Happy 27th birthday to our dear resident Lalit Mohan, who gave us the honour of letting the GPH team join in, in the celebration with his family!
Lalit Mohan has an insuppressible zest for life. Anything you ask or say to him, his affirmative answer is, "Why not!".
