Rotary e-Club of Mumbai Indians (ReCMI) chartered in Jun 2015, as one of the first five clubs in Rotary International District 3140 with operations supported by electronic communications, phone, and Internet. The mission of ReCMI is to connect, inform, and inspire members and guests who are travel bound, place bound, or schedule bound and prevented from fulfilling traditional attendance requiremen
ts. To assist our mission we have created "programs" (articles) and a makeup feature that attracts Rotarians from around the globe. We welcome your questions and suggestions. The Rotary e-Club of Mumbai Indians (ReCMI) Chartered on Jun 23, 2015 and is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Bombay Powai. It aims to be one of the most active e-Clubs in Mumbai and devoted to service and fellowship. Our Charter President is Mr. Ajit Singh, Dist Governor Mr. Ajay Gupta and RI President, Mr Gary Huang. ReCMI is a community just evolving, the fellowship shall be marked by camaraderie and meaningful community projects. The Club offers a stimulating fellowship based on a fascinating diversity of interests in business, arts, sciences and the professional expertise of its members. The members have virtual meetings every Wednesday at 7.45 pm. The club will be undertaken various projects under the 06 avenues of Club Service, Vocation Service, Community Service, International Service and Youth Service. The purpose of a Rotary e-club is to extend Rotary to business, professional and community leaders in any Rotary District who are unable to meet traditional attendance requirements. Rotary's e club with be based and supported by web technologies and electronic communications. The mission of Rotary E-Club is to connect, inform, inspire and involve members in Service Above Self. Rotary E-Club is just like any traditional Rotary club. A New Opportunity: We would be among the first few e-clubs in Mumbai. Inability to attend a traditional Rotary club could be the result of demanding business or professional commitments, extensive travel, confinement due to ill health or disability, or residence beyond reasonable distance from an existing Rotary club. Today, thanks to the technology, we have an opportunity to start what would be one of very few in e Clubs in India - web based Rotary club. The only difference is that members meet on-line to coordinate service projects and enjoy fellowship with like-minded Rotarians. What’s in it for you?
