Ongoing Projects under Lainat Ministry:
1. Lainat Counseling Center
The ‘Lainat Counseling Center’ was started in 2015 in Lamka, Manipur with the aim of creating a safe space and confidential place, especially for teenagers and women who are victims of domestic violence, sexual harassment, and other forms of physical and mental torture through its counseling service. Muani Tombing Tunglut, the ministry’s director and counselor, seeks to restore the dignity of individuals and communities by delivering effective solutions using a holistic approach. She emphasizes Biblical Values, Self-Respect, and Dignity thereby increasing the quality of life. Muani is often invited to speak at seminars, and often travels to remote villages, where she emphasizes parenting skills, struggles of teens, and transforming society. The Counseling Centre also:
Networks with like-minded individuals and NGOs.
Integrates spiritual and professional counseling.
2. Since the ministry does not have a place of its own, the Home is shifted anywhere convenient. Currently, it is located at Lailam veng where a two-story house is rented with the hope of providing a warm and safe home for orphans and the children affected by broken homes and failed parenting. The Lainat Home, where the children, under the ministry’s sponsorship program do not have a safe shelter elsewhere, stay while the rest lives with their respective relatives.
3. Lainat School
‘Lainat School’ was set up in 2016 with the motto, “Learning and growing together”. It was set up in Bukpi, an interior village towards the southern border of Manipur, with the aim to develop the standard of education in the village; with the hope of improving the quality of life in the village by educating the young generation. The school does not only focus on the academic success of the students, but also on the healthy growth of their physical, mental and spiritual aspects.
