At RWUS, we believe that giving a woman a platform is the highest-return investment a society can make. We stand in steadfast solidarity with both our grassroots women with whom we’ve worked for more than 30 years and those currently facing displacement, recognizing that their collective courage is the heartbeat of our community.

From the steadfast community pillars in our villages to those rebuilding their lives and dreams in camps, every woman deserves the opportunity to lead. By investing in their diverse voices, we ensure that the path toward recovery and governance is led by the women who know our land best.

When we empower the women, our entire society gains a future built on justice and peace.”

We are thrilled to introduce our latest batch of trainees embarking on their journey through our Advanced and Basic Beautician courses and our Advanced Tailoring program!

From mastering the art of glamour to perfecting the craft of design, these talented young women are stitching together a brighter, more independent future. We can’t wait to see their creativity and skills unfold in the coming months.

A heartfelt thank you to our supporting partner Women First International for their unwavering commitment to these students. We also extend our gratitude to our expert Training Partners, Lali’s Atelier and Unique Studio for providing the high-quality mentorship and technical guidance needed to turn these dreams into a profession.

On February 19th and 20th, our team dived into an intensive training on MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning). In the rush of daily project work, it’s easy to lose sight of the bigger picture — so taking two days to step back and honestly ask, “Is this actually working?” was exactly what we needed.

While it sounds technical, at its heart, MEAL is simply about making sure we are doing right by the women and communities we serve. After deep discussions on how to truly measure our impact, we walked away with a powerful reminder that: we never stop being students of our own work.

Seeing familiar faces every two months has allowed us to build more than just a distribution line but rather built a community of hope. By providing aid to these Internally Displaced Persons every other month, we ensure these families have a reliable safety net throughout the year. We are currently on Round 4 of 6, ensuring that no one is left to navigate these challenges alone. Our sincere gratitude to for making this possible🤝

We recently wrapped up a 2-day workshop dedicated to intercommunity cooperation and confidence building. 30 leaders from different backgrounds came together to bridge divides and foster mutual respect.

Through sessions on shared identity and collaborative action, we’ve taken a major step towards greater social cohesion in our community. When we work together on common goals like children’s well-being and human rights, we demonstrate the true power of unity.

A special thank you to our partners: India Peace Centre, Nagpur and Churachandpur District Christian Goodwill Council.

New Year’s Eve is often a time of celebration, but for the 120 widows in our community, it can sometimes feel like a lonely transition. Today, on December 31st, we wanted to step into that space with love.

With the compassionate support of Tawe Valley Church, Wales, we shared New Year gifts of rice, pulses, and oil. Our prayer is that these essentials do more than just fill a pantry. We hope they serve as a reminder that these women are seen, valued, and deeply loved.

As the sun sets on this year, we are grateful to enter the next one carrying the spirit of service. May their homes be filled with warmth and their hearts with peace as we begin 2026.

When we were at our absolute lowest, facing our most challenging time, Dr. Renu Dyalchand and her family arrived like manna for the Israelites. Their relief support wasn’t just aid, it was a timely miracle that sustained us and offered immediate hope.

We were so grateful to host Dr. Renu’s son, Mr Siddarth Dyalchand and his lovely wife Ms Rody today and share our profound thanks for being the help we needed, exactly when we needed it most. Your generosity is truly divine. 🙏

Human rights begin at home and on our streets. We all are responsible for providing safety to each other and showing respect every day.

As we come to the end of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence and begin to celebrate Human Rights Day today, we all have an opportunity to change the world today by changing how we interact with those around us every day in order to help eliminate the effects of violence against women and children.

What Can You Do For Yourself Today And Every Day?

Listen & Believe: When someone tells you that they experienced violence, don’t judge them, believe what they say and support them without judging or asking questions.

Speak Out: When you hear someone making a sexist comment, harassing someone in public, or using profane language, speak out against it. What you say helps shape our culture.

Model Respect: Teach the young people in your life (both boys and girls) that being respectful, treating others equally, and expressing their feelings are signs of strength, not weakness.

The need for everyone to feel safe and respected every day is the foundation of a society that recognizes the human rights of every citizen.

Our latest workshop on Soap Making Training was conducted today, 3rd December 2025, for women from our supported Self Help Groups in Saihenjang village. This is one of the core activities of our mission toward the Strengthening and Upscaling of SHGs.

This training is a pivotal transition point in empowering grassroot women to undertake a more scalable, contemporary Income Generating Activity like soap production. The skills acquired in manufacturing such quality items will be enabling these women to progress from traditional models to firmly established, profitable micro-enterprises.

The confidence and enthusiasm were contagious today! The women have been provided with the technical skills to produce quality products, undertake inventory management, and access the local marketplace, making their groups strong economic units for continued growth. Join us in congratulating them on their work and dedication toward securing a better economic future for themselves, their families, and communities. We look forward to seeing their products hit the shelves!
