On the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day), Existence Halfway Home for Mentally Ill Persons, Flamingo Mental Healthcare for Women and Ch. Ibohal School for Intellectually Disabled Children, organised by The Centre for Mental Hygiene, Changangei proudly celebrated the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, honouring his immense contribution to national integration and unity.
The celebration began with the “Pledge for Unity”, where all staff members and residents took an oath to uphold the values of national integrity, peace, and solidarity. The pledge served as a reminder of our shared responsibility in maintaining harmony, not only as citizens but also as members of a caring and inclusive community.
Following the pledge, participants enthusiastically joined the “Run for Unity”, symbolizing the strength that comes from collective effort and teamwork. The event brought smiles, energy, and a sense of togetherness among everyone who took part.
Through this celebration, we aimed to highlight that unity is not just a national duty but also a psychological need — one that fosters emotional connection, belongingness, and resilience.
