There is so much thinking, questioning, and lived experience within our communities, but when it comes to academic writing, many of us are left to figure it out alone. Ideas remain scattered, proposals feel overwhelming, and the process of shaping meaningful research can feel distant.

At the Centre for Karbi Studies (CKS), this initiative is an attempt to create a different kind of space. One that is slower, more intentional, and rooted in guidance.

What this space offers: • Support in drafting research proposals
• Dissertation and thesis writing guidance
• Help with progress reports and academic reviews
• One on one mentoring and feedback
• Clear structuring of ideas and academic writing

Who this is for: • Students from BA level to PhD
• Anyone starting, stuck, or refining their research work

What makes it different: • Small batch maximum 10 students for focused attention
• A learning environment that encourages thinking, not just writing
• Access to Karbi philosophy, history, and cultural knowledge
• Guidance that walks with you at every stage, not just at the end

Good research is not just about completing a requirement. It is about shaping how we understand and carry forward knowledge.

If you have been meaning to begin, feeling stuck somewhere in the middle, or looking to refine what you already have, this space is open for you.
