Long before air pollution became a public health crisis, wildlife was already serving as nature's earliest warning system. Today, as polluted air spreads across forests, wetlands, and grasslands, countless birds and wild animals are breathing the same toxic air as humans—yet their struggle remains largely unseen.

The August cover story of ON AIR, "Wild Impact," explores how air pollution is disrupting ecosystems and affecting the health, behaviour, and survival of birds and wild animals. While research has long documented the impact of polluted air on human health, its consequences for wildlife remain one of the least understood dimensions of the air pollution crisis. As evidence slowly emerges, it raises urgent questions about biodiversity, ecosystem resilience, and the future of conservation.

🚫 मिथक: गर्मी से होने वाली हर बीमारी का इलाज घर पर किया जा सकता है।

✅ सच्चाई: आमतौर पर केवल हल्की डिहाइड्रेशन (पानी की कमी) को ही ORS और तरल पदार्थों से ठीक किया जा सकता है। लेकिन अगर यह हीट स्ट्रोक (लू लगना) या हीट सिंकोप (गर्मी के कारण बेहोश होना) है, तो घरेलू नुस्खे काम नहीं आएंगे। ये मेडिकल इमरजेंसी (आपातकालीन स्थिति) हैं। खुद से इलाज (DIY) करने में अपना कीमती समय बर्बाद न करें।

Today, as part of the Plastic Free July campaign, SUEZ in India, in partnership with Chintan, successfully organized the Yamuna Clean-up Drive.

More than 30+ enthusiastic volunteers came together with one shared purpose—to protect our Yamuna and promote a cleaner, plastic-free environment.

To make the event even more engaging, we also conducted an interactive Plastic Awareness Quiz, where 10 participants won exciting prizes for their knowledge and enthusiasm.

Together, let's continue reducing plastic, protecting our rivers, and inspiring change.

नमी के मौसम में कूलर दो-धारी तलवार बन सकता है।

दिल्ली की सूखी गर्मियों में जो कूलर आपको राहत देता है, वही मानसून के दौरान चुपचाप आपके खिलाफ काम करने लग सकता है।

इसका कारण कूलर नहीं, बल्कि नमी है। जब हवा में नमी बढ़ जाती है, तो शरीर के लिए पसीने के ज़रिए खुद को ठंडा करना मुश्किल हो जाता है।

हीट स्ट्रोक आने से पहले हर व्यक्ति बेहोश नहीं होता।

असल में, हमारा शरीर उससे पहले ही कई चेतावनी संकेत देने लगता है—लेकिन हम में से ज़्यादातर लोग उन्हें नज़रअंदाज़ कर देते हैं।

शायद आपको सिर्फ़ सिरदर्द हो रहा हो।
शायद चक्कर आ रहे हों।
शायद बहुत ज़्यादा पसीना आ रहा हो… या बिल्कुल भी नहीं।
यहाँ तक कि आपके पेशाब का रंग भी बता सकता है कि आपके शरीर में पानी की कमी खतरनाक स्तर तक पहुँच चुकी है।

हीट एक्सॉशन (गर्मी से थकावट) और एक गंभीर चिकित्सीय आपातस्थिति के बीच का फ़र्क इन संकेतों को समय रहते पहचानने में है।
