We are delighted to share that Sa-Dhan concluded a virtual orientation training program on the Microfinance Sector for Lead District Managers (LDMs) and Officers of the Rajasthan SLBC, with the support of Bank of Baroda, on 29th May, 2026.

55 participants, including and all operating Banks' controlling offices, along with the Rajasthan senior official Shri Raj Kumar Meena, joined the virtual training and orientation program. The presentation, along with detailed discussions, covered models, regulation, compliance, the grievance redressal mechanism, monitoring, and challenges.

This drive by Sa-Dhan will help LDMs update DC & DMs, SDM, and other administrative officials properly and make informed decisions. It will help create a conducive environment for MFIs, enabling their on-the-ground operations to serve the poor people of India. Sa-Dhan will continue to engage with stakeholders to build their capacity in microfinance.

Sa-Dhan, as a Self Regulatory Organisation recognised by RBI Says for the Microfinance sector, conducted a comprehensive client Financial Literacy awareness program at Udaipur, Rajasthan, with the support of Satin Creditcare, Nabfins Ltd , Equitas Small Finance Bank on 21st May, 2026.

103 participants attended the program. Shri. Sanjay Gupta, Lead District Manager, State Bank of India and Shri. Neeraj Yadav, District Development Manager, NABARD, served as the chief guest and shared valuable insights on financial literacy, including flagship government schemes such as , PMJJBY, PMSBY, APY, and KCC. They also educated clients on fraud-related activities and grievance & complaint management, and advised them not to accept any auspicious links, fake calls, OTPs, messages, or lottery schemes.

He also cautions against unauthorised promises of a loan waiver, which the RBI recently announced in a nationwide notification for all customers.

Sa-Dhan successfully organized a one-day Customer Awareness Programme in Muzaffarpur, bringing together 142 women customers from various microfinance institutions to promote financial literacy, digital safety, responsible borrowing, and financial inclusion.

The programme witnessed participation from officials of the Reserve Bank of India, NABARD, Central Bank of India, and leading MFIs. Sessions focused on cyber fraud prevention, grievance redressal, digital transactions, government livelihood schemes, social security initiatives, and responsible credit usage.

Sa-Dhan Regional Director Mr. Ambrish Srivastava emphasized the importance of customer awareness, financial discipline, and informed borrowing for strengthening trust between financial institutions and customers.

Sa-Dhan organised a Members’ Meet in Chhattisgarh, which witnessed participation from 35 senior officials representing 32 microfinance companies operating in the state.

Dr. Saibal Paul elaborately highlighted the prevailing microfinance scenario in the state of Chhattisgarh.

The keynote address was delivered by Shri Ankush Golecha, Director, Aviral Finance, focusing on the ongoing developments and activities within the microfinance sector in the state.

During the meeting, we discussed several significant issues related to microfinance and related activities. All participating MFI officials highly appreciated Sa-Dhan and acknowledged its continuous efforts and initiatives for the development of the sector.
