🚑 IRF India Chapter launches a landmark hashtag -saving initiative!

We have kicked off one of our most important programmes — training 15,000 drivers as hashtag under the First Aid Trauma Care Programme at hashtag ’s IDTR centres in Rohtak & Bahadurgarh (Haryana), Dehradun, Aurangabad (Bihar), Raipur (Chhattisgarh) and Delhi.

The training combines:
✔️ Structured theory modules on emergency response
✔️ Hands-on practice including CPR with manikins
✔️ Life-saving techniques to respond effectively in emergencies

Every year, road fatalities in India continue to rise. The Golden Hour can mean the difference between life and death — and empowering drivers with trauma care skills is a critical step towards saving countless lives on our roads.

Together, with strong partnerships and commitment, we are building a safer India where every trained individual can be the first link in the emergency care chain.

🚦 Strengthening Data Governance in Road Transport 🚦

The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) has notified the Policy for Data Sharing from the National Transport Repository (NTR).

The NTR consolidates critical datasets from Vahan, Sarathi, e-Challan, eDAR, and FASTag—covering over 39 crore vehicles and 22 crore driving licences. With increasing demand from government agencies, academia, and private sector stakeholders, this policy establishes a uniform, secure, and legally compliant framework for sharing data.

🔑 Key Highlights:
-Alignment with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
-Access protocols for State Governments, Police, Enforcement Agencies, Academia, and Citizens
-Multiple modes of sharing: APIs, secure portals, bulk transfer, and mobile apps
-Strong focus on data security, privacy safeguards, and accountability of data fiduciaries

This marks a significant step toward digital transformation, ease of living, ease of doing business, and evidence-based decision-making in transport and road safety.

📊 By enabling controlled access to transport data, India moves closer to building a data-driven mobility ecosystem, while ensuring citizen privacy and security remain paramount.
