May 28 marks Menstrual Hygiene Day — chosen because 28 reflects the average cycle length and May, the fifth month, represents the average five days of menstruation. Since 2014, it’s been a global call to end the stigma and ensure everyone has access to menstrual health education and resources. At Project Stree, that is what drives everything we do!

You may notice women of all ages in our workshops, not just young girls. That’s because menstrual stigma and misinformation affect people across every stage of life, and education has no age limit! In our workshop today, our workshop coordinators challenged common menstrual myths and provided demonstrations on using period products. ❤️
