On 2nd August 2026, the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Shri Shankaracharya Technical Campus joined the Live Address of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji for a Drug‑Free India.

During this event, all NSS volunteers along with the Programme Officer of NSS SSTC participated and listened attentively to the Prime Minister’s inspiring message to the youth of India. At the conclusion of the address, the volunteers collectively took the pledge for Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan, reaffirming their commitment to building a healthier and stronger nation.

On 28 July 2026, on the occasion of World Hepatitis Day and World Nature Conservation Day, the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Shri Shankaracharya Technical Campus successfully organized an awareness and plantation program at the adopted village Arsanara, Government Middle School.

As part of World Hepatitis Day, students were provided essential knowledge on hepatitis prevention, personal hygiene, safe food practices, and health awareness through a PowerPoint presentation (PPT), short educational videos, and a quiz competition. The students participated with great enthusiasm in the quiz, and those who performed exceptionally well were awarded to encourage their efforts.

In continuation, on World Nature Conservation Day, under the campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 3.0”, tree plantation was carried out in the school premises by the students. The Headmaster also planted a sapling, delivering a strong message of environmental conservation. NSS volunteers motivated the students to plant more trees, take regular care of them, and actively contribute to protecting nature.

The event was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. P. B. Deshmukh, Director SSTC, Mr. Manoj Kumar Singh & Ms. Madhu Yadav, Programme Officers NSS SSTC, and the Headmaster of Government Middle School, Arsanara.

On 25th July 2026, the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Shri Shankaracharya Technical Campus (SSTC), Bhilai proudly celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas at the SSTC campus.

The program began with slogans, badge and sapling presentation, followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting. The gathering resonated with patriotic spirit through the singing of the NSS Song and the National Song. NSS volunteers presented inspiring speeches, soulful poems, and melodious songs, reflecting the values of courage and service. A short video presentation highlighted the heroic contributions of Kargil soldiers, and a two‑minute silence was observed in their honor.

The event was graced by the presence of two distinguished Chief Guests – Mr. Santosh Kumar Singh, Ex. Army Service corps and Retd. Subedar Major Uttam Kumar Singh, Ex. Army Service corps who addressed the youth, shared stories of bravery from Kargil, and inspired everyone with their experiences.

The program concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by the Programme Officers, along with the presentation of shawls and mementos to the guests, followed by the National Anthem and a group photograph.

The event was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. P. B. Deshmukh, Director SSTC, and Programme Officers Mr. Manoj Kumar Singh & Ms. Madhu Yadav, NSS SSTC.

On 15th July 2026, the volunteers of the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit, Shri Shankaracharya Technical Campus (SSTC), Bhilai organized a Youth Empowerment and Skill Development Session on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day via Google Meet.

NSS volunteers actively participated by delivering PowerPoint presentations, sharing ideas, and showcasing a short video highlighting different youth skills and their importance.

The Programme Officers of NSS SSTC also joined the session and guided the volunteers on enhancing their technical, communication, leadership, and other essential skills.

On 13th July, 2026, the volunteers of the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Shri Shankaracharya Technical Campus, Bhilai participated in the NSS 'C' Certificate Examination 2026 conducted at Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU), Bhilai.

Three volunteers from the unit—Yuvraj Prasad, Davendra Kashyap, and Md. Rehan Ahmad—appeared for the examination.

The event commenced with a Parade Drill led by RDC Cadets Mrityunjay Sahu, Yuvraj Prasad, and Seema Muchaki. Dr. D. S. Raghuwanshi (NSS Coordinator, CSVTU Bhilai) also briefed the volunteers about the examination process.

After the parade, a written examination was conducted to assess the volunteers' knowledge of the National Service Scheme and its activities.The written test was followed by an inspiring interactive session by Dr. L. S. Gajpal (NSS Coordinator, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur), who motivated the volunteers by sharing his valuable experiences and insights into the spirit of NSS.

Finally, the viva voce examination of the volunteers was conducted by the external examiners Mr. Jainendra Diwan (NSS Coordinator, Hemchand Yadav University, Durg) and Dr. S. bharti (Programme Officer, Rungta College of Engineering and Technology), who evaluated the volunteers on their NSS knowledge, activities, and overall contribution.

The National Service Scheme Unit of Shri Shankaracharya Technical Campus, Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, paid heartfelt tribute to Swami Vivekananda on the occasion of his death anniversary on 4th July 2026 at the NSS Office, SSTC, Bhilai.

On this solemn occasion, NSS volunteers performed Deep Prajwalan (lamp lighting) and offered floral tributes in his memory. The volunteers also remembered and reflected upon his timeless teachings, moral values, and inspiring message of selfless service, character building, and spirituality, which continue to guide and motivate the youth of the nation.
