‼️Kennedy Cup‼️

Unfortunately no luck for the lads and their Waterford teammates in the Bowl Final today as Donegal came out 1-0 winners.Just wasn’t meant to be as Waterford just couldn’t get the luck they needed to find the net.
This was a brilliant experience for the lads and was a huge honour for them to represent their county.
Well done lads the whole club are proud of ye 🟠⚫️👏👏👏

U12D Semi-Final Result.

Ballinroad 1-0 Southend United

We travelled to Ballinroad this evening to contest the semi final of the cup we started the game well without really testing the home sides keeper.
Ballinroad went one nil up against the run of play to go in at half time in the lead. Second half we had the home side camped inside there half but to there credit they defended very well and had a couple of dangerous counter attacks that our back line dealt with. Unfortunately we couldn't get the equaliser tonight. Ballinroad deservingly go through to the cup final we'd like to wish them all the best on the day. Best for us we're Edgar Yartey,
Sam Smith and Molly Dooley but POTM goes to Josh Fanning who was fantastic in the middle of the park with his energy, passing and ball recovery. This squad have been fantastic all season long to play 23 games go unbeaten in 21 and finished the season with the league title is a credit to all the players. We now look forward to our day out to celebrate 🏆

‼️Kennedy Cup Update‼️

Waterford March on to the bowl final V Donegal tomorrow with a 2-0 victory over Carlow a superb assist from Dale to set up Ferrybank’s Fionn Fell who finished brilliantly to make it 1-0 just on the stroke of half time.
Early second half Fareed then scored a brilliant solo goal surging down the right wing beating a couple of defenders and shooting low past the Carlow keeper at his near post to make it 2-0.
Well done lads keep it going and best of luck to all involved in tomorrows final 🔵🟠⚫️

Seven wins in a row now for this team after this very tough game against a very good Tramore team.

Tramore played the better football in the first half and we did really well to go in one up at half time due to a brilliant finish from our poacher supreme Zach after some brilliant work by Sean up on the right wing.

We kicked into life in the second half and played much better with two more goals coming from a cracking top corner finish
by James and Leo with a superb header after a lovely corner by our man of the match Michael M who literally covered every blade of grass and threw tackles on everyone in Tramore apart from the Metal Man.

This was another massive team effort with every player in orange playing their part to help get the win.

Tramore did deserve more to be fair and it was a much closer game than the score reflects.

As always well done to every player on both teams and thanks to Tramore for a really good game.

A win for these lads against Waterford Crystal tonight sees us through to the cup final! 🏆⚽
What a fantastic group of players. They continue to work hard for each other and are now just one game away from silverware. The lads will be looking to try and complete the double once again this season.
It's a pleasure for our coaches to be involved with such a dedicated and talented group. They do themselves, their families, and Southend proud every time they pull on the jersey.
A special mention to Waterford Crystal, who had a very good cup run themselves. We wish them all the best going forward.
Now all eyes are on the final, where we will face either Villa or Hibernians.

‼️Kennedy Cup Update‼️

The lads and their Waterford teammates done very well in the group stages going unbeaten in their three matches only to narrowly miss out on top spot to Cork after being 2-0 down they fought back to 2-2 with Fareed getting the equaliser with a header from a corner,Waterford will feel a bit unlucky as they were the much better team in the second half and missed some great chances to win the match.
They move on now to the quarter finals of the Bowl who’ll they play NDSL this afternoon at 4pm.

U12D Cup Q/F

Piltown 0-2 Southend

We travelled to Kildalton on Monday evening to take on a solid Piltown outfit in the cup quarter final.
First half the match was a tight affair with Piltown defending well and limiting us to a lot of long range efforts which the brilliant Piltown keeper was equal to and ended scoreless at the break.
Second half the game was on a knife edge as we pushed to find a goal they were always a treat that Piltown might nick a breakaway goal.
But midway through the half our captain and right back Ollie went a on run down the right and struck a fierce shot which the Piltown keeper could only parry into the net.From then on we found our confidence by playing some scintillating football with Josh pulling the strings in the middle.
We put the game out of reach of the hosts with a superb strike from outside the box from Harry which found the far right top corner of the net.
Again this was a superb team performance with everyone working hard for each other we march on to the semi final now as we travel to abbeyside on Thursday evening to face Ballinroad.
