Ballybeg Community Development Project

Ballybeg Community Development Project Ballybeg Community Development Project was set up in 1991 and incorporated in 1993. The Project is managed by a Board of Directors made up of local volunteers.

The spirit of the Ballybeg Community Project is to reach out to all in the community, to encourage people to believe in their own uniqueness, dignity, equality and the potential within themselves, their families and their community. The Project develops programmes and services that respond to the needs of the local community. BBCDP established First Steps Creche and Access IT Ltd which are now bot

h separate independent companies that share the Community Campus with the CDP and Cill Barra Sports & Recreation Centre. Currently the CDP manages a range of projects including:

In addition programmes relating to health & well being, men's groups, women's groups, local events, festivals and volunteer training programmes are run by the project. The project is involved in development work and so engages with others in campaigns to change local and national policy with regard to issues that impact on the lives of those in the community.
