Tralee Chamber welcomes the publication of the Cost of Business Report by Chambers Ireland.

We, alongside Chambers across the network, have consistently highlighted the growing cost pressures facing businesses and the need for meaningful action.

The report sets out 63 recommendations aimed at reducing business costs, improving competitiveness and easing regulatory burdens.

While we welcome the recognition of these issues, the next step is crucial: action and implementation.

Businesses across Tralee and Kerry need practical measures that will make a real difference to the cost of operating, investing and creating jobs.

Tralee Chamber will continue to advocate on behalf of our members and work with our fellow Chambers to ensure the voice of the business community remains firmly on the agenda.

Kerry's Eye Announces New Senior Appointments

Congratulations to Kerry’s Eye on the appointment of Kieran McGeary as CEO and Declan Malone as Editor.

Kieran McGeary joins Kerry’s Eye following an extensive career in broadcast media, most recently spending nearly 20 years with Onic as Group Station Director for Cork’s 96FM and C103. His career has also included roles with BBC local radio, ITN and Beat 102-103 in Waterford.

Declan Malone brings decades of journalism experience to the role of Editor, having previously worked with The Kerryman from the late 1980s and serving as Editor from 2000 to 2015. He has since continued his work as a freelance journalist covering West Kerry and contributing to national publications.

We wish Kieran and Declan every success in their new roles and look forward to seeing the continued contribution of Kerry’s Eye to the local community and media landscape.
