Our Sept story on our calendar, is the beautiful Liz. Liz and our over night boarders at the back bone of our training department. Every assistance dog that is created is because of Liz and all our amazing volunteers.
“I can without doubt say that one of the best things myself and my family have done is to volunteer with Dogs for the Disabled.
We board dogs from 18 months up when they come back to the centre for training.
We have been lucky enough to do this for over 6 years and have welcomed over 60 dogs into our home over that time. The absolute joy and unconditional love that a dog brings to our home has had a huge positive impact on all of us.
Being a boarder family is a unique blend of purpose and love where every cuddle, walk and training moment contributes to a life changing partnership. I highly recommend becoming a boarder to anyone who has space in their home and their hearts as it’s amazing and you won’t regret it! I am so grateful and thankful to be part of this wonderful charity.”
