What a special day for Youth Action Castlebar! 💚❤️

Following Mayo’s fantastic victory, we were delighted to welcome Juvenile Liaison Officer and Mayo selector Colm Boyle, along with members of the Mayo staff and, most importantly, the Sam Maguire! 🏆

Colm very kindly brought Sam to Youth Action Castlebar so our young people and staff could share in the celebrations and get a chance to see the famous trophy up close.

After 75 years, it’s a moment of enormous pride for Mayo, and we were honoured to be part of the celebrations. Huge thanks to Colm and all the Mayo staff for taking the time to visit us and create such a memorable experience for everyone.

A day our young people and staff won’t forget! 💚❤️🏆

We were delighted to welcome Minister of State with responsibility for Youth Justice, Catherine Ardagh, to our Sligo/Leitrim Youth Diversion Project this week.
We were also delighted to welcome Dr. Ciara O’Connell, Principal Officer for Youth Justice in the Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration.
Both Catherine and Ciara spent time meeting with and listening to our staff, leading to some really valuable discussions around the upcoming Youth Justice Strategy, funding, emerging needs and current trends in youth justice.
It was a great opportunity for our team to share their experiences of working directly with young people and families across Sligo and Leitrim, and to discuss both the opportunities and challenges facing youth justice services.
Many thanks to Catherine and Ciara for taking the time to visit, listen to our staff, and engage in such constructive discussions.

Results day is nearly here — exciting, nerve-wracking, and a little bit surreal! Before the results land, get a few practical things sorted so you can focus on what comes next.
Most importantly: take a breath. You've put in the work — now it's about seeing where it takes you.
