Knocknashee Community Hub & Café

Knocknashee Community Hub & Café Beneath the 'Hill of the Fairies' you will find Lavagh’s latest project, The Knocknashee Community Hub. The Hub has a long local history.

Acquired by the local community to create a space where young and old can gather and the existing community spirit can be nurtured and enhanced. Nestled beneath the 'Hill of the Fairies' you will find Lavagh’s latest community project, The Knocknashee Community Hub. Situated in the heart of the Lavagh community, The Hub has been acquired by the local community to meet the needs of the people, in t

he form of a café and meeting place, amongst other things. Originally owned by the Mullen family, The Hub will be a place where young and old can gather and where the existing community spirit can be nurtured and enhanced. The Hub is surrounded by significant historical and archaeological sites like Knocknashee Hill, Court Abbey, Achonry Cathedral and Chaffpool House. Just a stones throw away is the increasingly popular Knocknashee Hill walk. Officially opened in 2020, the walk is proving to be a very popular local amenity and has resulted in a huge increase in tourist activity. A warm welcome to our community space!
