Sligo Springboard Family Support Service Sligo Springboard Family Support Service aims to empower and support children and families to reach Sligo and was known as Resource House Project.

Sligo Springboard Family Support Service is a not for profit organisation established in 1996 in Cranmore, Co. With over 25 years’ experience we understand just how difficult life can be at times. Based in Cranmore, we work with families from Sligo in Child and Family Support Network Area 3 (CFSN3). Our Family Support Team work with families and children to alleviate stress, to overcome difficulti

es and to encourage each individual to reach their full potential. The work is done through the following structured, needs-led programmes:
- One-to-One Support for Children and Young People,
- One-to-One Support for Parents and Adults,
- Parenting Support,
- Meitheal. We facilitates a drop-in service available to all members of the community, providing immediate assistance to individuals who may be experiencing a family crisis, housing or social welfare issues or require the use of the phone/ computer/ photocopier. Our Childcare Service provides Early Learning and Care and School Aged Childcare which incorporates a breakfast club, school bus and homework support. Our Childcare Service understands the importance of providing quality childcare that allows a child to learn and explore the world around them in a safe caring environment. To accomplish this, we implement a practical approach to curriculum development in combination with Aistear, the Irish Curriculum Framework, and Síolta, the Quality Standards Framework.

Sligo Springboard are extremely proud of the all children and young people who were part of the discussions on Technology,social media and Children, with a focus on the safety and well being of children on line at the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Children and Equality. Shineka gave the opening address a huge honour that she took in her stride, it's definitely worth a watch. Sligo County Childcare Committee . Nessa Cosgrove.

Sligo Springboard are delighted to have been invited to the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Children& Equality to discuss "Technology,social media and Children", with a focus on the safety and well being of children online on Thursday 30th April. This platform provides an opportunity for young people to directly inform national policy discussions based on lived experience. The 3 children attending on behalf of Sligo Springboard are Shineka, Jenna and Jack.
